~ [Name] POV ~
"Ei, who is this?" you asked. Ei turned around and looked at the photo you were pointing to. Her expression dimmed even more as she saw the photo. You realised that you had made a mistake by asking that question. "I—I'm sorry. I didn't realise that wasn't something I should have asked," you said. Ei sighed and shook her head.
"It's alright, [Name]. You didn't know," Ei says in a slightly sad tone. She picked up the photo album and looked down softly at the photo. "This is- well... was my sister. Her name was Makoto... She died in a car accident right after Shou was born," Ei says solemnly.
"I-... I am so sorry..." you apologised. You felt horrible after reminding Ei of her sister's death, but then again, you had no idea. "I didn't mean to," you say. Suddenly, Ei's demeanour changed very quickly, as if she wasn't sad at all.
"It's fine, don't worry about it," Ei smiled. You frowned slightly but understood that you shouldn't press the topic any further. "Let's skip ahead to look at Scara's pre-school photos!" Ei said with excitement. You were interested to see what Scaramouche looked like in pre-school.
As you looked down at the photos of Scaramouche in pre-school, you saw how adorable he looked. You couldn't help but let out a small 'aw'.
"He looks so adorable!" you cooed. Ei looked at you with a wide smile.
"I know right? Oh, I miss him from when he was a child... teenage Scaramouche is too much hassle to deal with... always like 'mum! You're so embarrassing', or 'Mum! Go away, I'm busy!' The typical angst teenager, you know?" Ei chuckles as she quotes her son.
"Oh, I understand that very well. So angst," you laughed. "There was this one time we had to do a school project together, this was before he found out that I was an idol, he told me that we couldn't walk to his place for the project because he didn't want his friends seeing me with him. Well, he didn't say that... it's what I guessed he was going to say since he stopped himself," you explained. You remembered that day very vividly as if it was occurring at that moment. You remembered teasing him to watch him blush. "Oh! I was teasing him about finishing what he was going to say, he was so red."
