~ [Name] POV ~
It was getting late, and you went home after having your date with Scaramouche. When you got home, you realised that you had forgotten about the situation back at the mall and how you caused a big commotion.
As you walked through the door, you saw your parents standing at the entrance, your mother with her hands on her hips and your father with his arms crossed. Both of them shared the same unamused expression.
"[Name]," your father deadpanned.
"Uh oh..." you mumbled. "Am I in trouble?" You asked in a meek voice.
"Of course you're in trouble, [Name]. You caused a huge scene at the mall today! Haven't you seen the news?" your mother countered. You hadn't, and that fact was very obvious to your parents. Almost as if you were busy doing... other things.
"No...?"
"Well, it's all over the news," your mother sighed. You glanced towards your father to see what his response was.
"[Name], we're both worried about you getting terminated by the company for breaking one of the rules," your father says. Your lips curled into a frown.
"I was trying to stay on a low profile; it wasn't my fault! It was this kid—she asked if I was an idol, and other people overheard it before I could even respond," you retorted as you desperately tried to explain your case to your parents.
"That doesn't matter, [Name]. You still went out in public and risked being followed by fans and paparazzi," your father argued. You grit your teeth in frustration.
"And, [Name], you wanted this. We told you the risks before you left, but you still wanted to go. We did warn you," your mother said. You let out a sigh, aware of the truth in your mother's words.
"I know," you say.
"Well, your father had gotten an email from your manager. Furina managed to convince her boss not to terminate your contract and to only let you off with a warning," your mother informed. Thank god Furina was your manager, otherwise, you probably wouldn't have gotten the warning and been terminated instead.
"Right..."
"[Name], you won't be able to go out since the news is focused only on you right now. You'll have to wait for the media to calm down," your father says. He was right. With you being the centre of attention in the media, people will be looking out for you in public, trying to catch a glimpse of you in person.
You felt annoyed since you were being restricted once again. This wasn't the first time your parents have done this. Every six months, the media would flare up again about you being in public, and every six months, your parents would force you to stay in the house. With this happening often, it seriously pissed you off. You were surprised that crazy fans haven't discovered where you live yet.
"Fine, I'll stay in my room then, like every other time this happens. I always get in trouble," you grumbled under your breath as you walked to your room.
As you shut the door behind you, you pulled out your phone and lay on your bed. You opened your messages app and sent a quick "hey" message to Scaramouche, hoping he would reply.
You stared at the message for five minutes, imagining the ways he could respond and how your conversations would go, but he didn't reply. All of a sudden, you blushed as you finally realised how you were obsessing over one message that he hadn't even replied to yet.
Your cheeks heat up as you turn off your phone before placing it beside you. You lay on your back as you covered your face, questioning why you would even care if he responded or not. Well, maybe because not too long ago, you just had sex with him. You blushed even more as you covered your face.
"How did it even come to that?" you asked yourself as you mumbled into your hands. After calming down, you sighed as you place your arms beside you as you looked up at the ceiling. With this constant getting into trouble with the media as you try to live your life, was being an idol even worth it?
All of a sudden, your phone vibrated. You quickly sat up as you checked your notifications. Scaramouche had responded. He replied with a simple 'hey' back. You blushed as you opened the messages app. You could feel your heart racing in your chest. You couldn't help but wonder why you were feeling this way about him.
Then, something clicked. Was it that you loved him? It certainly felt that way. Just being around him made you feel at peace and happy. Maybe you did love him, and you definitely didn't have a problem with that being the case.
