"Are you the famous idol [Name]?"
You felt all the air in your lungs evaporate. In your state of shock, you uttered a small, "What?" Scaramouche gripped your hand tighter, but his touch was surprisingly gentle. There was a look of hesitation and expectancy on his face. He was waiting for your answer, feeling nervous about the answer he may receive.
"Didn't you hear me? Are you the famous idol [Name]?" Scaramouche asked once more. You tried pulling away from his grip, but he only pulled you closer. You couldn't tell him the truth, but he had the look of excitement in his eyes.
"I..." You mumbled. You weren't entirely sure what to say.
"Please tell me the truth..." He pleaded. "Look, I know I've been a dick to you, and I understand if you hate me... but could you please just tell me the truth. Are you... or are you not a famous idol?"
You felt the words choking in your throat before letting out a small sigh. He was begging you to tell him the truth, and you feel like your heart would break if you only lied to him more. Besides, if he knows, then what's the bet that other people in the school know as well? If that's the case then your school career is over.
You lowered your gaze in shame before nodding your head. By admitting that to Scaramouche, you were basically kissing goodbye for your time here at the school. Scaramouche's eyes lit up slightly as he saw you nod your head.
"You... you really are..." He muttered to himself. "How could I not recognise you? I must be blind or something..." He joked as he stepped back, letting you go.
