It had been three months since you were last seen by the public. You refused to leave your room at all, and your parents were beginning to become a bit worried. During this time, you constantly checked your social media.
Fans were discussing the reason for your hiatus, ranging from you wanting to preserve your mental health to you hating being an idol—which wasn't entirely wrong. People wondered if you were going to come back or perhaps even quit. You were thinking about the latter.
Honestly, you felt bad for leaving your fans in the dark, but you knew you weren't in the right headspace to continue being an idol. You didn't have any passion for it anymore. You were feeling very burnt out.
One morning, you were lying in bed scrolling on your phone. That's what you did for the past three months—absolutely nothing. Your door then creaked open—however, you didn't bother to look. It was going to be your mum or dad trying to coax you into going outside and touching grass.
"Sweetheart?" Your mother murmured. "Are you alright in here?" she asked in her usual worried voice. She walked over to your bed and sat down on the soft duvet that covered you.
"I'm fine..." you mumbled as your thumb scrolled through TikTok videos on your phone. Each video was filled with mindless nonsense that didn't give you any dopamine. Your mother let out a small sigh as she rubbed your shoulder.
