~ [Name] POV ~
"Wait hold on... that's you?!" Ei exclaimed, obviously shocked by your words. You looked at her before slowly nodding your head. "Huh... well~ I guess it's meant to be~!" she says teasingly. You frowned as you felt your face heating up once more.
"W- what do you mean by that?" you asked as you pouted your lips. Ei giggles as she looks at you with a mischievous grin.
"What? Don't you remember when Scaramouche said he wanted to marry you in preschool?" Ei asked. Your face was practically on fire at this point.
"H- he did!?" you stuttered as your eyes went all wide. You didn't remember much from preschool, let alone remember Scaramouche's declaration to take your hand in marriage.
"Yes, he did. And he was passionate about it too," Ei smirked. Ei opened her mouth, taking a small breath in, as if to continue talking, but she was interrupted by Yae's voice in the kitchen.
"Ei! Can you come here?" Yae asked. You were confused as to when Yae left. Ei turned to you before standing up.
"Sorry, I'll be right back," she says before walking to the kitchen. You looked back, resting your arm on the back of the couch to look over at Ei and Yae in the kitchen. They were both talking, but you weren't interested in their conversation.
That's when you remember that Scaramouche retreated back to his room earlier, and didn't come back. You wanted to see if he was alright after being so thoroughly humiliated by his family.
