It was a clear, sunny day on the Terra Atmosia, a young brunette girl of fourteen was fiddling with an air skimmer, white in colour with purple accents here and there. It was her pride and joy, clear from the mismatched parts that were welded together and painted over. To an ordinary citizen, the skimmer looked like it needed a lot of work, but to this brunette's eye – it was in perfect working order. Due to being cooped up inside all day, she had little else to do (terrorising those who were supposed to be watching her had gotten very boring and old) so tinkering around with her skimmer seemed to be the best option. "Stupid Carver, stupid ego." She muttered to herself with a scowl, she severely disliked Carver as much as he hated her. It had been like that since they were first introduced, Nika felt that she didn't need to be watched which Carver agreed with, but he treated her like a child – she could look after herself! Still, he insisted on annoying her at every opportunity with "checking in" and appearing when she was trying to run off.
A sudden, unwelcomed roar of engines made her emerge rather sooty faced from her skimmer, her light blue eyes lit up for a moment before she realised that the engines didn't sound like familiar though she was thankful that it wasn't Carver's skimmer. Her eyes dulled as she sighed, sliding out from her skimmer and wiping her face with a cloth before venturing outside to see who had landed nearby. Hopefully it was someone to replace Carver, that made a light smirk appear on her tanned features, if she couldn't leave the terra then she'd happily have someone else in charge – hopefully someone more lenient. Nika wasn't surprised to find that she wasn't the only nosey resident of Terra Atmosia, frankly she viewed the citizens as nosier than her but that was another argument altogether.
Nika wasn't surprised to find a small crowd had gathered in the square but was surprised to see a very young-looking squadron there as well, people that looked around her age. A curious expression appeared on her features combined with a hopeful gaze in her eyes, this was something she could do. The crowd complaining at the squadron snapped Nika back into focus, immediately she pushed between the crowd to put herself between them and the squadron, "Leave them alone, I don't see any of you doing anything to help!" She yelled only to be met with opposition, "You're not any better, troublemaker!" One man shouted shaking his fist at her, Nika narrowed her eyes at him – she didn't cause all the trouble. Just most of it...
The Storm Hawks gawked openly at the exchange, one minute they were getting shouted at for impersonating the original Storm Hawks, then a random girl was shouting at the crowd and then the crowd began to shout at her. Not that she was taking it quietly, "Well, I didn't ask to be here so take it up with the Sky Council!" Nika shouted back, the Storm Hawks watched in awe as the crowd stayed silent then began to disperse. Without a word to them, Nika turned away from the squadron to make her leave, only stopped by something latching onto her leg.
"Whoa hey! Who are you?" Nika called in surprise, holding her leg up a little to see what had grabbed her, a small furry creature was smiling up at her giving her big eyes that she found absolutely adorable. Radarr continued smiling up at her as she lowered her leg, her eyes catching Finn swaggering up to her with his "charming" smile that he mistook as a working technique for the ladies. "That's Radarr, but I'm Finn. Haven't I see you someplace before?" The sharpshooter smiled flirtatiously, Nika pulled a subtly disgusted face as the rest of the Storm Hawks rolled their eyes at their teammate knowing that this wasn't going to end well for him. "Yeah, you were the reason I stopped going." Nika replied with a small grin, trying to look annoyed at him though she internally was for speaking to her like she was some idiot girl. Stork snickered at Finn's rejection not even trying to hide his reaction to ease Finn's wounded pride.
And with that, Nika was gone, Finn whined under his breath walking back to everyone with slumped shoulders, "How many is that now? I'm counting 67." Stork grinned with Junko and Piper chuckling in the background, Finn grumbled something under his breath in response for once choosing to stay quiet rather than fuel an argument. "Gee, that was something." Junko spoke, scratching the back of his neck as Aerrow looked around the area with his eyes wondering the brunette had went, he hadn't even caught her name and he was listening out for it, but no one had mentioned it. "It was a little weird, why would you stand up for someone then not introduce yourself?" Aerrow asked his friends, Piper with folded arms turned her head to Finn with a slight scowl, "Well maybe she would have if someone didn't try and get a date out of her!" She hissed with Finn grumbling under his breath, Stork sniggered through his nose quickly straightening up when everyone turned to him with a ridiculous stare, "It's been a long day." He muttered in a deadpan expression.
