The next day, Nika was introduced to 'barge shopping' – the idea didn't appeal to her much but with Junko's encouragement of the task being fun, Nika decided to join them – the idea was to find anything that the Cyclonians had thrown away and hopefully give the Storm Hawks an idea of what they were planning next. It didn't take her long to realise that the Cyclonians weren't exactly bright and didn't make any attempt to destroy their plans before throwing them away. What idiots.
Everyone was absorbed in their own search, Nika being no different – she found discarded weapons and blueprints that she could tweak and tamper with. Radarr suddenly ran up her arm to her shoulder – something obviously freaked him out but it still didn't stop her being annoyed with him as she furrowed her brows deeply. "Whoa Radarr!" She yelped losing balance a bit, she realised how windy it was getting, everyone else noticed too but were a bit less concerned than she was. "Uh guys? We should go." Nika spoke out, darting to her ride – if this storm was anything like those at home, it was going to get nasty. She knew storms and this was going to be a really, really bad one – and they wouldn't live if they didn't leave now. Nika was all for daring stunts, but even she knew where to draw a line – this was one of those times.
Radarr clung to the brunette until he spotted Aerrow ready to leave, he looked to the raging skies for a few seconds, ordering his team to leave, "It's a big one, we better go." Nika's stomach dropped, this wind could easily carry her away – she didn't weigh much and neither did her skimmer. Maybe she should take a page out of Junko's book and weigh her skimmer down. As they took off Nika lost control and spun out, she yelled hoping someone would notice but the wind was too loud, it didn't help that it whistled painfully in her ears. Wincing, she just managed to regain control as they got closer to the Condor but lost it again as she went in for landing – cursing her weight and luck. A gust of wind blew her further back away from the Condor, she revved the engine hoping to gain speed but the wind then blew her forward – now she wanted to swear loudly, "WATCH OUT!!" She screamed as the skimmer hit the landing and crashed into the doors, the brunette had ditched the ride, landing on top and Finn and Aerrow. Nika moaned in pain, that was certainly going to hurt in the morning – Finn moved away from her legs so Nika was still lying on top of Aerrow bashfully she pushed herself off and with his help – she stood up. "Where's Piper?" They both asked at the same time, the wind picked up speed and blew Nika into Junko – who was just getting up from being smacked by her skimmer. "Who needs a storm when my skimmer and I can get take out all three of you?" She laughed lightly though she did groan in pain, Junko chuckled and helped the brunette stay in one place otherwise she wouldn't need her skimmer to fly, though her legs didn't leave the ground a few times despite his help. "Nika! Go help Stork batten down the bridge! We'll be fine!" Aerrow yelled, his green eyes looking directly into her blue ones – for him it felt like time had stopped briefly. Nika nodded making him smile then she sprinted to the bridge without a word. "Be careful." He whispered to himself, it had been bugging him again that she had to be kept safe, especially when she could crash like she did and laugh it off.
Stork was struggling to the ship still and lost control before Nika grabbed the controls. Stork took the opportunity to try and bring down the shutters but quickly abandoned the idea and dived for the controls – Nika just getting out of the way. She had a basic understanding of not getting in-between Stork and the controls otherwise she would probably be annihilated. He smirked in thanks as the ship rolled in the storm, Nika didn't know she managed to not get seriously hurt but she wasn't going to complain about a bruise or two. The brunette had somehow ended up on the light fixture with a pipe resting on her back which lodged her in place and upside down, she laughed when she saw Stork was tangled up in the random junk on the bridge, still holding onto his beloved controls for dear life. "Oh, shut up." He groaned, letting his head fall back in defeat – he clearly had enough today, Nika quietly giggled to herself before realising she was tangled up – the brunette remained oblivious to her teammates, minus Piper, arriving as she sat up to try and free herself. "Um where's Nika?" Finn asked looking around, Nika sighed but lost her balance and fell backwards from the light – hanging by her right leg. "Uh... I'm hanging around." She laughed, the others laughed before Aerrow jumped on the table and tried to help her, laughing himself at her predicament. He grabbed her waist and helped her sit up, her back against his chest, he held her waist with one arm and the other under her knees. Nika reached to her foot and untangled the pipe from the wire and soon enough she was in Aerrow's arms. She turned her head to smile at him, with him already smiling at her. The two teens blushed and Aerrow let her down with both proceeding to jump off the table and join the others. Nika crossed her arms and stood between Finn and Junko – she wanted to get rid of the butterflies in her stomach, Finn didn't help as he was busy nudging her with a sly grin on his face until she subtly elbowed him back in the stomach. Aerrow announced that he and Finn were going to look for Piper, a sense of worry overwhelmed the brunette – she wanted to look for Piper too.
