A Day Together

Junko and Nika hid behind a wall in the Condor, intent on scaring Finn why? For no reason other than for the fun of it. They had planned that Nika would jump out and scare him while Junko – dressed as Snipe, would then chase him around the Condor. "Shh! Quick, quick, quick!" Nika whispered quickly when she spotted Finn swaggering down the corridor with a large smile on his face, he and Piper had gotten back together, and everything was as normal as it could be on the Condor. "ARGH!!!" Nika screeched, trying to make herself look big in front of Finn, his eyes widened as he screamed like a girl and falling on his behind making the brunette laugh hard and fall over herself. "HAHAHAHA!! Oh man that was brilliant!" Nika roared, tears coming out of her eyes. With a huff and glare, Finn stood up and dusted himself off. "Yeah whatever." He muttered, making his leave not noticing Junko starting to creep behind him. "Oh, and by the way you look-." Finn started as he turned, screaming again when he spotted Junko dressed as Snipe and ran off with Junko chasing him. Nika began to laugh again, it was the most fun she had in ages! She let out an amused sound as she stood up and brushed off her clothes, tensing when she felt someone's presence behind her. Slowly she turned to meet the familiar face of Aerrow, needless to say that the brunette got a fright and squeaked which made Aerrow laugh. Childishly she slapped his arm, encouraging the redhead to laugh more at her expense as his arms found their way around her waist, "Oh come on, you're cute when you get a fright like that." Aerrow grinned, Nika's eyes popped as she blushed, "W-what?" She stuttered, Aerrow playfully rolled his eyes and kissed her cheek. "What are you wearing?" The brunette asked, noticing that Aerrow had changed into a plain dark blue long sleeve t-shirt and trousers, she scrunched up her nose in confusion. "For our date?" He said slowly, feeling a grin appear – as frustrating as it was watching Nika be confused over what couples did – he found it rather cute. "Oh. You have to dress up for that?" Nika asked, Aerrow shrugged – she looked amazing in her everyday clothes, he just hoped that she would notice he had tried for her. "Sorry if I'm over-dressed." Aerrow blushed, playing with the hair on the back of his head, Nika also blushed now taking in what he was wearing. "W-wow... Um, did I say that out loud?" Nika stammered before reality hit her and in a blind panic she dashed off to her room, Aerrow chuckled and scratched his cheek, Radarr jumped onto his shoulder and wiggled his eyebrows at the redhead. "Aww!!" Piper cooed leaving the room she had hid in, Aerrow rolled his eyes at the spying navigator.

Nika had no idea what to wear, she certainly wasn't going to wear that dress again! Eventually she decided on a plain purple tank top and her normal shorts with her boots and a black jacket. With a sigh, she untied her hair and let it fall over shoulders, what Aerrow saw in her she didn't know. She decided to wait for Aerrow in the hangar on her Skimmer, he really had stuck to his word and cleaned it to the point she could see her face clearly, but it was past the three months, but he still done it – Nika felt a smile coming to her lips. She shook her head when Aerrow's green eyes were suddenly looking up at her, Aerrow had squatted down and was leaning his crossed arms up on her steering gear. "Hey, ready to go?" He smiled lovingly at her, thankfully he had arranged for everyone to take a break, so he could spend time with Nika without interruption. He planned to take her to Terra Falls – a terra that no one lived in that had a huge tree and waterfalls, all with a picnic he had Junko help make. "Oh hi, yeah sure. You leading?" Nika replied with a smile, Aerrow stood up and shook his head making Nika raise an eyebrow. "You're riding with me." He smiled, Nika blushed and climbed off her skimmer letting Aerrow climb onto his then she joined, wrapping her arms around his waist and resting her chin on his shoulder. The redheaded Sky Knight smiled peacefully, this felt so right to him and his stomach felt like firecrackers were going off all at once, turning his head, he leant his forehead on the side of the Yarsian's. "Hold on." He said quietly, grabbing her clasped hands with one of his giving them a small reassuring squeeze. With that the pair set off into the mid-morning sky, Nika closed her eyes – being with Aerrow made her feel complete, what she didn't know was that she was in love with the Sky Knight and how dangerous it would be.
