AU - Love Crime - Chapter 11

Flash Back: Jang Sora's Disappearance.

Sora's POV

The suffocating darkness gradually faded as a dim light began to emerge, hualing me back to my senses after what felt like an eternity of unconsciousness. Huff. Huff. I could only hear the steady pants of my breath for a solid few minutes as I struggled to open my heavy eyelids. Gulping, I tried to move my body but it felt like my nerves were numbed and my senses scattered elsewhere. I had a weird dream.

I gave up on attempting to shift my sore body and fell back into a deep sleep before waking again after who knows how long, but this time, my visions weren't blurry anymore and my clouded mind is once again clear. Blinking, I stared at the first dim light I saw. The moon. I stared at the bright full moon through the windows with a blank mind until I slightly frowned upon noticing the unfamiliar interior of the dark room. Blinking unsurely, I glanced at the presence resting beside me to find a pair of awfully familiar pupils staring right back at me.

Taehyung. I thought I was staring at my soon-to-be groom but his facial features... were nowhere near the powerful Kim's heir. Instead, I found myself staring at a soul I used to adore and care for, the person I loved dearly. The man whom I met during my freshman year in college, the person I shared so many memories with. Without him, I'd be a lonely and depressed soul, living in a stagnant world where I'm forced to hide from the darkness of the world. Through those times... the dark times... he was there to accompany me. He was the light in my life, the warmth I craved, the comfort that brought peace to my restless soul.

Jae Yangcha.

The alpha calmly stared at me as we shared the bed, resting sideways with his arm extended underneath my head to cushion me. He didn't utter a word, but gazed at me with his usual fond gaze, and although I was slightly baffled on how I came to be present in his arms once again... the terrific memories suddenly flooded me.

I was captured.

"You're awake," He whispered, lifting his free hand to stroke my head as I stared at him with a restless feeling. I wanted to move my limbs... but it appeared I have lost control of my movements. How come?

"I can't... move," I managed to whisper, slightly frightened by my paralyzed state. Did he drug me? Why can't I move?

"You'll be fine. Just rest for now until the substance drains from your system," He assured while caressing my head. I frowned at the man and closed my eyes for a moment. Fuck. What happened? How am I here? I'll get in trouble if Taehyung finds out.

"This isn't right... I have to return home..." I whispered, finally opening my eyes to meet his gaze again, but paused when I found... tears dripping from his lower lashes as he sideways stared at me. Yangcha sniffled quietly as I studied the visible pain on his face until he released a muffled sob and pressed his face against the pillow to hide his vulnerable state. I gulped and stared at his shaking shoulders as he kept his hand extended beneath my head to hold me.

"Did you really believe... I had moved on, noona?-" He whispered, lifting his face to frown at me with his bloodshot eyes and bright pink nose.

"It's not my concern-"

"You asked that we split up and although I didn't want to- I obeyed your order! I respected every decision you made and backed off as you had wished and what did I get in return?!- You- distancing yourself from me and acted as if I no longer existed in your world-"

"But we broke up- Why would you wish to be significant in my world-"

"How could you say such things?! I want to be significant in your life! I want to be the person you trust and love most- I did everything for you, noona! How can you see me as no one when I've done everything for you! It's unfair!" He snapped, suddenly gripping my cheek with his burning gaze locked on mine, forcing me to witness his raging displeasure. I gulped in fright while gazing at his angered glare and sighed deeply.
