I let you go, and it felt like suicide...
__________

8 years later.....

“I would really like to sign the partnership with you--”

“But, I would like to work with someone who enjoys what they do, and it could show in their eyes that they are genuinely happy, and they are doing their work not just for the money, but because they love doing it”

napakunot ang noo ni Bea

“What do you mean Mrs. Green?”

“I can't say anything about you Ms. De Leon, you are actually hadling your family's company well, you are the youngest business tycoon that i know, hands down to that”

“But, there is something missing in you, something that you once had, something that caught my attention when i first met you eight years ago when you were just a mere starter in this world, you lost that someting ms. De Leon.”

Bea just stared blankly at the old woman, she was completely clueless of what the woman is saying, or what it even means

“You lost the sparks in your eyes”

that line, made Bea’s mouth slightly open as if she was going to say something but she lost the words mid-way

“That is the something that you lost ms. De Leon, now let me ask you something, why are you doing this? Why are you working so hard miss De Leon? What is your reason?”

“Because i want to prove to them that i can, That i am not just some spoiled brat who knows nothing, that i can be someone. And of course to earn money”

“But to earn money for whom?”

“For--” natigilan si Bea, dahil naalala nya kung bakit nya ginagawa ang lahat ng ito, the late night paper works, constant overtime, more work and obviously less sleep, all of the achievements all of the hard work, it was all for her, its for Maddie, always has, always been and always will be for her, its been almost two years but the latter is still on her mind, well obviously in her heart too.

Bea was brought back to reality when the old woman infront of her spoke once again

“Well, i guess you remembered, well i should go now miss De Leon, i would sign the papers when i see those sparks again De Leon, back when you were just a mere college student, just a mere stranger in the industry, i want to see those sparks, i want to see that drive, that passion that you once had. Well till next time miss De Leon”
