Westin
"You slept with him," Callen stated.
I didn't want to know how he knew this after only a minute after seeing me but maybe I was giving myself out by sitting outside in the patio whilst sucking on a lollipop because I was trying to replace cigarretes with it. I was quitting smoking for Arlo, I needed to. I didn't look up at Callen as he sat next to me. I didn't ask him how he knew because I was sure the answer was right in front of him.
"Didn't you and Finn leave before us? Why are you arriving at midnight...exactly 3 hours after us?" I raised a brow.
"We didn't have sex." He crossed his arms, but his ears slightly turned pink.
"Sure," I smirked, not believing him. He looked away. They had sex, and they probably slept after, then came over. If they didn't, then he was doing a poor job of proving me wrong. "Did you buy the food?" Trying to change the topic and avoiding talking about how I had the best sex I've ever had since...forever.
I didn't want to tell him how I felt like Arlo was a dream come true. I didn't have to tell him that I was in love with him because it had to be obvious by now. I not only loved Arlo, I respected him, I valued him, and God knows I needed him to keep me sane.
"I would never forget something so valuable. I'm hungry, by the way."
"You have a boyfriend now, tell him." I rolled my eyes at him, and he sighed, sitting up straight, staring at me.
"He refuses to accept me as his boyfriend." He confessed.
"He slept with you."
"He did not. He is attracted to me and wants me, but doesn't trust me. He thinks I'll turn out just like his ex." That was understandable, from what Arlo had shared Finn's ex was a asshole. Someone who declared he loved Finn but was in fact using him to please himself. I understood Finn's trust issues, although it was unfair on Callen's behalf because he wasn't Garrett. "I kissed him today, well, I mean yesterday." He had this boyish smile like he had just achieved the greatest thing in the world, kissing the boy he liked. That's when I got it.
Callen not only liked Finn, but he loved him. He had completely fallen for him to the extent that a kiss was simply enough to send him to cloud nine.
"He didn't resist?"
"Like I said, he wants me but ..." He paused, and I nodded with understanding, telling him there was no need to explain. So they didn't sleep together, but it was bound to happen, that is, if Finn opens up to Callen; otherwise, it was a lost cause because we could clearly see how Finn liked Callen. "I'm hungry. What did you guys eat anyway?" He said, quickly changing the subject.
"The kids had the food left from the drive...before you ask about Arlo, he has been asleep for a while now...no more questions."
"Fine..." he sighed. "You really quitting smoking?" He raised a brow skeptically.
"Arlo hates the smell," I said bluntly.
"Did he say you should quit?"
"Arlo hates the smell." I deadpanned, and he nodded with understanding.
Arlo never directly told me that he hated the smell, but I saw how his nose scrunched up every single time I finished smoking or how he'd step away sometimes, avoiding closeness with me. He hated it, and I didn't want to inconvenience him. Callen went back to the house and brought popcorn and soda. We sat back another hour as he ate and spoke about nothing in particular until we headed back in and went to bed. Arlo was still asleep in bed, looking like the angel he was. I wrapped my hand around and moved closer, I slowly drifted asleep.
