Ryder sat on the couch in the conference room of his dad's office. He looked back when he heard a knock. He was a little surprised to see Kyndall's dad. He almost forgot that her dad was co-owner of the business. He was even more shocked to see Kyndall smiling right alongside him.
"And this is the conference room," Thomas said. Thomas spotted Ryder and smiled. "And that is my co-worker's son, Dylan." Thomas introduced. Ryder was too confused to correct him on his name. Why would Kyndall's dad reintroduce Kyndall to everything? She already knew it well. Ryder felt like there was something different about Kyndall. She was confident and held her head up. Thomas's assistant walked in and requested Thomas's presence in a different part of the building. He turned and kissed his daughter's cheek.
"I guess you can stay here with Dylan until I get back," Thomas said. He looked at Ryder sternly. "You take care of her," he said in a clear threat. Thomas left and left Kaitlyn with Ryder. Kaitlyn smiled. She couldn't help but to think that he was really cute.
"What's the deal Dolly? I thought you were happy enough giving me a black eye; now you're coming back to torture me more?" he said. He was pained at seeing her. He wanted her, but he knew he couldn't have her. Kaitlyn put the puzzle pieces together very quickly. She was bored. She figured she might as well have fun while she was here. What would it hurt if pretended to be Kyndall for a few hours? She frowned for his benefit and took a step towards him.
"I'm sorry Dylan. I was just coming to apologize... for everything. I want to give us another chance," she said. She wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled her body to his. Ryder froze.
"Wh-what about Tony?" he whispered. Kaitlyn smiled slyly and tilted her head a bit.
"What about him? I broke up with him so we can work this out," Kaitlyn lied. She figured he wouldn't care anyway. Plus, Kyndall wouldn't find out about this anyway. Kaitlyn kissed him hungrily. Ryder hesitated before he pulled away.
"You're not Dolly," he said quietly. His brows scrunched in confusion. He had no idea how Kyndall could have a doppelganger, but he knew that that wasn't Kyndall's kiss. Kaitlyn laughed once nervously.
"What; you think I made a copy of myself?" she said jokingly. "Come on Dylan," she said. He tensed slightly.
"Then prove it. What's the name of your son?" he asked. She smiled easily.
"Carter, he lives with Sarah... my grandmother," she said. He shook his head. He still didn't believe her.
"How did you get pregnant with Carter?" he asked quieter. She shrugged.
"Easy one; I had sex," she replied. Ryder released her arms from around her and stepped back.
"Wrong," he said. Kaitlyn looked at him confused. She tried to laugh it off.
"That's the only way you can get pregnant," she said. Ryder shook his head.
"Not if you're being forced to do it," he replied quietly. Kaitlyn looked at Ryder stunned.
"Kit was raped; by who?" Kaitlyn asked. Ryder looked at her confused.
"Well that proves that you're not Kyndall, but it you're not Kyndall... then who are you?" Ryder asked. Kaitlyn sighed and rolled her eyes.
"Damn, it's like nothing goes right in her life," Kaitlyn said mostly to herself. Ryder looked at her pointedly.
"Who are you!" he asked with more force. Kaitlyn cringed.
"I'm... I'm Kyndall's twin sister," she said timidly. Ryder shook his head confused. She sighed. "Kyndall never talks about me for God knows why. And I've been away at boarding school for the arts, so you've never seen me before. What was the deal between you and my sister?" Kaitlyn asked curiously. Ryder shrugged.
