He pulled her to him suddenly. He'd been wanting to do this since he first saw Kyndall. He kissed her deeply. She moved her hand up to his neck and crushed his lips against hers. He slid his hands down to the small of her back and pulled her so every inch of his body was pressed against hers.
"Wait, stop," Kyndall pulled away breathlessly. She looked at him and laughed. "This... is about to go too far." She said. He looked at her confused.
"I wasn't going to do anything," he said innocently. She laughed and shook her head.
"You might not have done anything, but I'm pretty sure I was going to," Kyndall laughed. Ryder pulled her close and kissed her neck roughly.
"I wouldn't have stopped you," he muttered into her neck. She exhaled loudly and let her eyes close for a second. She gripped his shoulder tightly and leaned her head over a bit. After a few seconds, she gently moved him away.
"You are really testing me," she said sternly. He laughed and kissed her neck again.
"I don't know what you're talking about," he muttered. She laughed huskily and dug her nails into his back. He only kissed her neck harder. Her lips parted slightly as she sucked in a breath. She finally got the strength to push him away again. She looked at his smiling face.
"Great, now I'm probably going to have a mark. Weren't you supposed to just drop me off?" she asked. He laughed and wrapped his arms around her waist.
"Okay, I'll see you tomorrow," he smiled. She smiled and kissed him lightly before she got ready for bed and went to sleep.

Ryder made it back home to find his mom arguing with his dad. He sighed and went into the living room where they were. They both looked at him. His father looked worn out while his mother looked livid.
"She doesn't like your girlfriend," his dad said. Ryder shrugged.
"I know. Kyndall was over here earlier when mom was being extremely rude to her and told her to leave," Ryder said accusingly. His mom looked at him bewildered.
"Because she's not your girlfriend, Brett is!" his mom yelled.
"And how would you know that? It's not like you're ever here!" Ryder yelled. His mom looked at him like she was about to go off. John sighed and looked at his wife.
"Sarah, he's got a point. Plus Kyndall's a really nice girl; she's smart and genuine. If you would get the chance to know her, you'd see that you would like her better than Brett," John said matter-o-factly. Sarah sighed and rolled her eyes. Ryder's jaw clenched.
"It doesn't matter to me if you like her or not. I going to keep seeing her if I want to with or without your approval. Your opinion doesn't matter because the only thing that matters is that I lo-like her," Ryder said. His mom and dad caught onto his slip up.
"You love her," his dad corrected silently. Ryder froze. He didn't mean for them to know that, but he let it slip in the heat of the moment. His dad sighed and chuckled quietly. His mom looked at him stunned. Ryder looked at his feet and scratched the back of his head nervously. He sighed and looked at them before he went up to his room. He slammed the door and tried to drown his thoughts out with music.

Brett sat at dinner with her family and thought about how Kyndall had turned her down on the offer, but she did agree to have dinner with her and that's all that mattered. Of course, her parents questioned her about it. She brushed it off as 'Kyndall had a family thing but will have dinner with them later in the week.' Like the many nights before, Brett didn't touch her food. Her parents only gave her worried glances. She wrote in her diary before she retired to unconsciousness.
