Ryder walked in and stopped when he saw her asleep on the couch. Sighing, he touched her arm gently. Her eyes opened sleepily and looked at his concerned face.
"Were you kidding about what you said?" he asked quietly. She looked at him confused before she understood his question. Sighing, she shook her head. He sighed and closed his eyes. Sitting up, she kissed him softly.
"There's nothing you can do about it now," she whispered softly. Turning onto her side, she closed her eyes again. Ryder stroked her cheek gently until she opened her eyes. "Ryder can we not talk about this right now," Kyndall muttered. Ryder nodded and moved to sit behind her. She rested her head against his chest and sighed as he put his arms around her. He kissed her hair gently.
"We don't have to talk about it, but what language was that?" Ryder laughed. Kyndall looked at him before she laughed as well.
"Italian," she smiled. "I used to spend all of my summers with my grandmother in Italy." She explained. He smiled at her.
"Austin was still on the floor when you left. He went home right after without another word. Of course, I got crap from the other guys about your... confession, but they won't bother you about it. They thought I did it at first, and then their common sense kicked in," Ryder explained. Kyndall looked at him curiously.
"They thought you did it?" she asked curiously. She shook her head and turned back around. "Wait, I thought we weren't talking about it," she said. He chuckled and kissed her hair.
"Sorry," he smiled. She grabbed one of his hands with her non-casted arm. She pulled her knees up and put his hand in her knee. She traced his hand lightly.
"Ryder isn't your real name is it?" Kyndall said thoughtfully. Chuckling, he shook his head.
"No, my dad nicknamed me that when I was younger and it just... stuck," he smiled. She looked at him curiously.
"Does anyone besides your parents know your real name?" she asked. He smiled and shook his head.
"No," he smiled. "Brett asked once, but I wouldn't tell her." He said recalling her constant begging. Kyndall smiled innocently and looked at him.
"Will you tell me?" she asked. He kissed her and laughed.
"I guess... it's Dylan," he smiled. She looked at him quizzically and sat up. She laughed and rested her head back down. "What?" Ryder asked. She shook her head and smiled.
"Your big secret is a common name," she giggled. He laughed and kissed her gently.
"Yes, but you're the only one who knows, so your lips need to stay sealed," he joked. She laughed and kissed him deeply.
"I don't hear you complaining when I'm doing this," she muttered against his lips. He brought his hand up to her cheek and the other to her hip. Her growled in approval and kneaded her hip like a cat. She chuckled huskily and turned into him. She sat up and pushed him against the couch playfully. She brought her lips back down to his as his hands ran down her sides. She shivered slightly as his fingers ran under her shirt slightly. Pulling away, she smiled.
"Your secret's safe with me... Dylan," Kyndall joked. Ryder chuckled and shook his head before Kyndall brought her lips back down to his. He kissed her quickly before looking at her curiously. "What is ti?" she asked.
"This isn't... weird or too much for you?" he asked. She sighed and rolled her eyes.
"No, it's not. I feel comfortable around you. Now stop talking about it," she said before she kissed him again. He let it go and kissed her back deeply. Kyndall didn't want to think at the moment, and Ryder was a perfect distraction. She pulled away breathlessly and smiled.
"I should get home," she sighed running her fingers through her hair. Ryder smiled slyly and reached up to kiss the sweet spot on her neck that he knew would drive her crazy. He wasn't disappointed. She sucked in a breath and closed her eyes, her head lolling slightly. Ryder chuckled and kissed rougher. She let out a small moan as her face scrunched slightly. His lips traveled down to her neck to her collarbone. She tangled her fingers in his hair and pulled gently. He chuckled against her neck and pulled back smiling. Kyndall rolled her eyes and climbed off of him.
"Tease," she muttered. He laughed and grabbed her hand before she was out of reach. He laughed and pulled her back towards him. A smile spread across her face as she sat next to him. He kissed her lightly.
"I'll take you," he smiled. Kyndall laughed and shook her head.
"Okay," she agreed finally. Standing up, he laced his fingers with hers and led her to the limo. Once at her house, she led him inside. Her mom smiled at her and hugged them both gently.
"Hello darling. How was school?" her mom asked. Kyndall and Ryder both looked at each other before turning back to her mom.
"Interesting," Kyndall finally said. Needing to be out of there, Kyndall started dragging Ryder upstairs. "We'll be in my room," Kyndall said over her shoulder. Ryder followed her down the hall to her room. Kyndall closed the door lightly behind her and smiled at Ryder. He chuckled and wrapped his arms around her waist.
"Interesting?" he smiled raising an eyebrow at him. She rolled her eyes and smacked his arm playfully. Ryder thought for a second. "That reminds me, how were you so... strong today when you beat the crap out of Austin, and how did you do that back flip?" Ryder asked. Kyndall laughed and moved to go lay down on her bed. She laid on her stomach and smiled at him.
"I've been doing gymnastics and dance ever since I could remember," Kyndall said. "I was going really far, but the... incident happened and I stopped for a few months. And then I ended up here," she shrugged. Ryder laid next to her and nodded. A slow smile spread across his face.
"I'm going on a trip to the coast in a few weeks. You cast should be off by then. It's going to be me, Brett, Oscar, James, and Mallory. It's a tradition we started our freshman year. My parents own a beach house there and then we go sight-seeing in Hollywood. You should come with us," Ryder smiled. Kyndall sat up and smiled.
"I don't know," she said. Ryder laughed and flipped her over so he was hovering over her. She squealed and laughed. Ryder tickled her until her face was red. Laughing along with her, he finally stopped. "Okay, okay, I'll go," she agreed. He smiled and kissed her gently. She wasted no time deepening the kiss. She flipped him over so she was on top of him and moved her lips down to his neck. He closed his eyes and gripped her hips tightly. She chuckled and kissed harder. He let her, relishing in the feeling of her lips on his neck. Laughing, she sat up.
"Tease," he joked. She smiled and shook her head.
"No, that's you remember?" Kyndall laughed. She brought her lips down to his again. Kyndall thought she could stay like that forever.
