I spy with my Hawk eye, Dark Beauty being friendly with Prince Charming on the sidewalks of Remington's. Never underestimate the power of a pretty face. Is Dark Beauty going to swipe Charming before he has a chance to give Cinderella her glass slipper? Only time will tell, Hawk.

Kyndall walked into the school's courtyard and tried to find the only person she knew at this school. Brett had her eyes on the fresh Hawk Watch blog. Her eyes looked around in daggers. She spotted Kyndall and put on a fake smile.

"England," she called. Kyndall looked at her confused. Brett walked to her and held out her hand. "Hawk was right; you do have a pretty face. Hi, I'm Brett," she said. Kyndall smiled and shook her hand.

"Excuse me? Who is Hawk?" she asked confused. Brett held up her phone.

"Hawk is a person who knows everything and everyone, and he or she has a blog. No one knows who it is, but whoever it is knows everything and writes about it, with the help of us, of course. They only pay attention to the important people though, and judging from Hawk's last post, I guess you're important," Brett explained. Kyndall read the post and laughed.

"They think I'm trying to date Ryder Davenport," she laughed. "God, we just met, and our dad's are doing business together. He was just being nice to me." She smiled and shifted her weight to one foot. Brett lifted her chin a bit more.

"Well... good because Ryder is mine, and I would hate for you to make an enemy your first day here," Brett smiled innocently. Kyndall shrugged and finally spotted her friend Mallory standing over with the Barbies.

"Yeah, that wouldn't be good. Oh, I have to go say hi to my friend. Excuse me," Kyndall said stepping around Brett. She smiled and went over to Mallory. She hugged her tightly and squealed.

"Oh my god Dolly, you're here!" Mallory laughed. Kyndall pulled back and laughed along with her. Mallory was a ginger with flawless skin and brown eyes.

"Yeah, my father bought a business here and moved us. I'll officially be attending school here," Kyndall smiled. "I have to get my schedule, but we'll catch up later okay?" Kyndall said before she headed inside the school. One of the blonde Barbie's, Lacey, frowned at Mallory once Kyndall was out of sight.

"Oh my god, she's gorgeous Mal, and her accent makes her all the more interesting. No wonder Ryder likes her," Lacey said to Mallory. Brett walked up while she was talking and heard every word.

"Ryder doesn't like her," Brett snapped. "Their parents are going into business together and she's new. You know Ryder, he's so nice, he just didn't want her to feel unwelcome, but he's mine. And he always will be. There is nothing to worry about; now, not another word about it." Brett ordered. The Barbies nodded, but Lacey and Mallory looked unsure of Brett's proclamation. Lacey was the one who sent the update to Hawk anyway. She saw the whole thing, and it looked like they were going to be a lot more than friends, even if they didn't know it yet. Ryder looked really into her, but Lacey wouldn't dare tell that to Brett. Kyndall was Mallory's friend after all. She had known her since birth; they grew up together in England until her parents relocated to California a few years ago, but Mallory still visited Kyndall every summer. Lacey didn't want to do that to Kyndall. She was technically a friend by default, and so far, she seemed really nice and sincere.  Brett flipped her hair and walked into the school; class was about to start anyway.

Kyndall's first day went smoothly. Hawk was right; a pretty face does add a lot of power. Kyndall was nice and easy to be around as well as pretty. Someone was always willing to help her with directions. Like all the major legacies at Remington Prep, a limo was sent to pick her up after school.

"Where to, Ms. Rosewood?" the driver asked. Kyndall smiled and looked to the school.

"Can I go visit Jasper, Jack? I haven't seen him since we got here" she asked. He smiled and nodded before he drove her to her mansion. She changed into black jodhpurs, riding boots, and a pink and blue fitting polo. She put her wavy dark hair into a low side ponytail and grabbed her helmet before heading to the stables. She hopped out, letting Jack know she would call him if she wanted a ride back to her house. She doubted she would be calling him any time soon though. She loved riding and taking care of her horse. It was one of the only things that had stayed the same since she moved. She sighed as she thought about everything she left behind; every memory she had back in London; even the incident... Sighing, she shook the thought out of her head. She walked over to the main barn and looked down the rows before she found her purebred Hanoverian stallion. His coat was a shiny black. He had a white diamond on his head in between his eyes that he immediately pressed into her chest from over the stall door. She immediately smiled and pet his cheek as he nickered. Jasper always seemed to put a smile on her face no matter what reminiscing mood she was in.

"Hey Jasper; miss me boy?" she smiled. She hugged his neck and sighed happily. She picked up his custom halter and lead rope off of the hook on his stall wall and hooked it onto him. She led him out of the stall and closed the door behind him.

"Dolly?" Ryder smiled walking up. She looked over to him and smiled.

"Ryder, what are you doing here?" she smiled. She walked towards him and Jasper followed.

"I was just about to go for a ride. What are you doing here?" he asked, giving her a quick hug. Jasper rested his head on her shoulder as Ryder let go. Kyndall looked at her horse and laughed.

"I came to take him for a hack. I haven't seen him since we got here," she explained shrugging. Ryder looked over the horse and whistled.

"You have a very nice horse. He must be seventeen or eighteen hands," Ryder smiled. Kyndall nodded. Ryder looked down the hallway. "I was just about to take Henry out on the North trail. It's very beautiful this time of year. The leaves are just turning orange and red. Want to go?" he asked. She thought about it for a second before she nodded. She put Jasper in the cross ties and brushed him down. When she was almost done, Brett walked up. At seeing her, Brett rolled her eyes and sighed. Putting on a fake smile, she walked up to Kyndall and tapped her shoulder.

"Kyndall, I wasn't expecting to see you here. Is this your horse?" Brett smiled. Kyndall stood from brushing Jasper's stomach and nodded.

"Yes Brett, this is Jasper," she said before she turned back to her horse.

"Oh, he's beautiful. You wouldn't have happened to see Ryder have you? We're supposed to go for a ride today," Brett bragged. Kyndall froze. She was about to say something, but Ryder walked up at that moment.

"Oh Brett, I was just looking for you. This is Dolly, she's going to be riding with us today," Ryder said. Brett looked at him confused.

"Why?" she asked a bit snottily as she crossed her arms. Kyndall couldn't help but to sigh and lean against her horse. This had 'bad idea' written all over it. If she had known Brett would be involved, she wouldn't have agreed to it. She knew Brett hated her, and all because of someone who claims to know everything. It was kind of sad actually. Kyndall wondered why Brett didn't just ask Ryder bluntly about her instead of listening to the gossip of an unknown blogger. Half of the stories were probably made up anyway.

"Because she's new and I invited her," Ryder replied breaking through Kyndall's thoughts. Kyndall's eyes went to Brett. Brett looked a little disappointed. Kyndall looked between the two of them and bit her lip softly. She didn't want trouble on her first day here.

"I don't have to go. I'll just go down a different trail. I don't want to intrude," Kyndall shrugged. Brett smiled.

"That sounds-" Brett started.

"Don't be silly. You're not intruding," Ryder cut her off.  He looked back to Brett with a look that clearly said 'behave'. Kyndall looked between the two of them. She knew she should pull out of the hack, but Jasper needed to be ridden, and Ryder was there to keep Brett somewhat in line. Brett wouldn't do anything with Ryder right there, right?
