The Greatest Fear of All

I smile as I see Ninjago City. Finally home, after flying for most of the day while also not letting out fears get the best of us. I activate my powers to check on how everyone is doing and spirits are still high. "Chen and his Anacondrai army have a day's start on us. Be prepared for anything and everything." Lloyd says. "How did we lose so much time?" Kai asks. "You know, you took an oath to never leave a man behind." Darreth says as he rides with Zane. We picked him up quickly after summoning our dragons. (No man left behind.) "And we're not all quick learners. Mastering your fear to create Power Dragons takes time." Jay says. I move to fly beside him, "I still believe Elemental Dragon is better." I state. "We've already lost enough time, let's not lose anymore. There's Ninjago City. Hurry." Nya states. "Right." I agree. "Hurry's my middle name. Hee-Yah!" Griffin exclaims as his dragon flies at a quick speed.

We all fly above the city. "Remember, whatever happens down there, we're stronger united. We fight as one." Lloyd states. "Let's do this!" Jay shouts then has his dragon dive down. But before I followed the others, I gasp as my powers flare up and I don't feel... Chen or his goons. They're not here. The citizens are amazed and in awe of the dragons, but things are calm. "Serpentine!" I flinch when upon hearing a woman shout and quickly navigate my dragon to where it came from. I land next to Kai after the people cleared the area, looking over to see Skylor cover her face. Oh, it was her they were frighten of. Kai comforts her and I smile at the two then a car horn is heard, Kai having his dragon raise their leg to let her pass.

I make my dragon vanish and walk over to stand with Lloyd and Garmadon. At least he and Skylor still have their faces as they are and not like the goons' heads. "If we're the first ones they've seen, where's Chen and why hasn't he attacked?" Garmadon asks. "Your guess is as good as mine." We all then look to see a man approach us, he wears black and blue uniform with a protective vest and a hat with a gold badge on it and with NPF. "Who are you?" Lloyd asks. "Captain Sam of the Ninjago Protection Force. (Remember him~?) We had an alert go off at our main base of some incoming air crafts. We had others deployed throughout Ninjago to different locations to help keep tabs and ensure the people get to safety for in case things get ugly." He informs.

"Huh. And here I thought we had to be Ninjago's only saviors." I comment, resting a hand on my hip. "We have to Skylor and my father off the streets before we alarm everyone. Everyone else, stick together and watch over the people!" Lloyd orders. Some of the masters fly off on their dragons. "I'll inform the rest of the force to keep an eye out for purple serpentine on the loose." Officer Sam says. "Thanks, cap." I thank him. He tilts his hat then walks off. I then feel Skylor's surprise and turn my around to see her left arm return to normal. I gasp and walk over to her, gently grasping her arm. "The spell is wearing off." I mutter. "What? Really?" Kai walks over and I let go of Skylor's arm. "Did I hear the spell is wearing off?" Jay asks as he, Nya, Cole and Zane appear.

I close my eyes as I feel my powers flare up and I see... Chen. "In order to the transformation to become permanent, one must obtain the essence of a true Anacondrai." He says. I open my eyes, gasping at the information. "(Y/N)." I flinch and look to see Cole laying a hand on my shoulder. "Are you okay?" He asks. I inhale softly and nod my head, "Yes. I know why the spell is wearing off along with Chen having not attacked yet." I answer. "Really? How?" He asks. "I'll explain on the way. We need to meet with Wu and Misako." I state. It's time to reunite with everyone.

Third Person P.O.V.

The Ninja, Nya, Garmadon and Skylor all arrive at the Samurai X cave. They walk across the platform and the Flacon screeches as he flies over and lands on Zane's arm. "And hello to you, my old friend." Zane greets, happy to see him. "You're all back." Wu says in relief as he and Misako walk over to to meet with them. "Zane. Look at you. Y-You're all... shiny." He notes, laughing in slight disbelief at seeing Zane. "But where's your father?" Misako asks Lloyd. "It's me, Misako." The group step aside to allow Misako to see Garmadon. She gasps in surprise at his appearance. "Don't worry, the ssspell is wearing off." Skylor informs her. "Which only makes Chen more desperate to act now." Kai states. "Everyone, this is Skylor, Chen's daughter." He introduces her. Misako walks up to her, "You're amongst friends, Skylor." She says softly to her. Skylor gives her a thankful smile. (☺️)
