The Corridor of Elders

(Phew! This may be the most exhausting chapter I have written so far. Anyway, enjoy the chapter!)

I make it to Jamanakai Village and frown as I see the destruction. I make my Elemental Dragon disappear and land on the ground. Taking off my hood as I look at the aftermath. "Oh, thank goodness." I turn around to see a woman with blonde hair in a high bun approach me, she wears a uniform like Captain Sam. "I'm Officer Miranda of the NPF. Anacondrai attacked the village, but we were able to safely evacuate everyone to a safe spot for the time being. Chen and his forces left after they could not find anyone, but they did not leave without quietly. Tell me, is there a chance?" She asks. I look around the place then see a ruined rainbow paper dragon toy on the ground. I walk over, bend down and hold it in my hands. I close my eyes, feeling horrible for what has happened. But then I become determined and stand up, still holding the kite. "Chen and his forces will be stopped." I state. (Permanently.)

I turn around to face her, "Keep the people safe. The others and I will regroup to come up with a plan." I tell her. She nods her head then runs off. I walk over to place the toy on the fountain. I try to keep my breathing steady, but I clench my fists as I recall the screams... the fear... and Chen. I remember one girl taking a stand and one of those goons threw a boulder at her. Thank goodness, she got away and is okay. But others won't be so lucky if this keeps going. I open my eyes. "You will pay, Chen." I turn away from the fountain and start walking, "My parents will be AVENGED." I declare. (I have never seen her this mad. Hate to be Chen. 😰)

Third Person P.O.V.

In the Sea of Sand, the noodle truck has been commandeered by Kai. He sits in the driver's seat, Nya's voice is heard over the radio but static is also heard. "Chen has- -kai village- Everyone." Nya's voice cuts out. "I can't read you, Nya. Repeat." He says. "Attacked first- Nothing- Stop them!" Nya says. "You're breaking up. Where do you need us? We're all scattered, and there's no time to play full in the blanks." Jay tells her in his truck in the Birchwood Forest. "Hurry! -too late!" Nya says in a desperate tone. "Tell us where we need to go. I can't use my Dragon Power so if anyone is close-" Lloyd stops as the radio feed cuts out, him in the truck within the mountains. "Nya? Nya? Can anyone hear me?" He asks desperately, but only gets a loud buzz in response. Lloyd turns the key and starts the engine as he drives off.

On the newly built Bounty, Nya, Wu and Skylor stand at the computer while Misako and Garmadon stand to the side as they comfort each other. "They attacked Jamanakai Village. They're moving fast and are going to attack the next closest village, you have to stop them." Nya says, but there is no response. "All communication is cut." She informs the others. "If our fighters don't know where to go, who's going to ssstop my father?" Skylor says. "Hello." Chen appears on the largest screen with a sinister smile, (Oh, great. It's him. 😒)"As you can see, I've taken control of the airwaves, just as I'll take over Ninjago." He says. "You'll pay for this, Chen." Garmadon states angrily as he slithers to the screen, glaring at Chen. "Brother, enough. What do you want?" Wu says, nudging Garmadon to the side and to hear our what Chen has to say.

"A truce." Chen answers. "Ha! Like the one the real Anacondrai wanted during the last war? The truce you destroyed by deceiving both sides?" Garmadon argues. "I will honor my word, and no one will get hurt if you and everyone you know leaves Ninjago and never comes back." Chen states. "We're not leaving our home." Garmadon states, facing away from Chen and crossing his arms as he closes his eyes. "Wait. Let us think about it." Wu pleads. Garmadon looks at Wu like he is crazy, "How can you even entertain him?" He asks his brother. "Our ninja are gone. We need more time." Wu counters. "You should listen to your brother, Garmadon. He always has a way with words. Heh, heh. It convinced Misako, didn't it?" Chen tells Garmadon with a mocking undertone.
