The Day Ninjago Stood Still

(So, this chapter is shorter than the previous ones. I honestly did not know what to do with it, but here it is and I hope you enjoy.)

So, after the whole thing with the Stone Warrior, Misako joined the team. She is actually pretty cool and I can see now where Lloyd gets his sass from. But there has been something on my mind. That feeling I got after Misako agreed to join us. I don't know what it is but I do not like. It feels.... Ancient.

I jump as I hear Jay scream and look to find him fly out the window. Oh. Right. The guys and I are in Dareth's dojo to train Lloyd. Looks like I got lost in thought. I then feel my powers flare up and see Lloyd, who was blindfolded, summon his powers as his hands were engulfed in green flames. Dareth screams as he put out a fire near his feet. "No, no, no, no." He stomps on it and puts it out. "How can you handle them every day?" Dareth asks me. I just shrug my shoulders as I give him blank look. "Hey, open the window! Let me in!" Oh, right. I go over to the door while hearing the guys get their butts kicked by Lloyd. I open the door to see Jay jumping and waving his arms, "You know there's a door." I tell him. He stops jumping and looks at me. He then looks at the window then at me again. He then scratches his head as he smiles and laughs embarrassingly. "Uh, right." He says. He then walks over and I move to let him enter.

However, before he could join in on the training, the ground shook. Jay grabs my arm as we balance ourselves. But then it stopped. It was quiet for a moment. "Uh, (Y/N), not trying to place blame on anyone but..." Jay says. I can feel that he was worried about my powers. And if I was upset. I gently remove his hand from my arm and give him an assuring look, "No. I'm fine. This was something else." I tell him. I then feel him calm down a little as he gives me a nod. "But what was that?" I look over to find Lloyd take off his blindfold. "Well, if there is anyone to give you information about what is happened in Ninjago City right away, it is Gayle Gossip." Dareth says then turns on a TV.

I put on my hood along with the guys and Lloyd and we gather to watch. "NGTV reporter Gayle Gossip on the scene of what appears to be an earthquake rocking the city of Ninjago. But it's an earthquake unlike no other, as scientists have yet to pinpoint the cause. And more frightening still, the aftershocks are getting stronger." And just like the reporter said, the earth shook again. "What do you think this could be?" Cole asks. "Wouldn't be surprised if it was Garmadon. We haven't seen him for a while." Kai says. But then my powers flare up as I feel a lot of presences under the city. "He would never." I blink as I stop feeling them and look at Misako as she starts speaking. "Lloyd's father is evil, but he would never do anything to put his son in harm's way." She states. "Misako's right. He only tried to thwart his training. This is something else." Wu says.

"But what is it?" Jay asks. Zane then whistles and his falcon lands on his arm. I'm just gonna call him Falcon from now on. It's easier. "My friend, be my eyes and look for danger in the streets from above." Zane says to him as he walks over to an open window. Falcon flies off to find out what is going on. "Also, (Y/N)," I give my attention to Zane as he said my name, "Have you felt anything that may be the cause of this? The Falcon will provide visual and where to find the cause." He says. I look down as I remember all the presences I felt earlier. "One thing for sure is that there are a lot of them." I state. "Whatever is the cause of all this, these aftershocks are no joke. We have to help the people." Lloyd then says, the ground shaking again to prove his point. "Lloyd is right. Go, Ninja. Go!" Master says.

The guys rush out of the dojo and I turn to Dareth, "Get the kids to somewhere safe." I tell him. He nods then I follow after the guys. I then get a bad gut feeling that things are only going to get worse.

Third Person P.O.V.

People scream as things start to get dangerous. They run and the ground starts to crack and they jump over them. "Oh, Snickers! Stay there, Mommy's coming!" One woman shouts to her dog from across the street. The ground starts to quake and break but the woman braves through it to reach her pet. But she ends up tripping over a rock and the dog barks as it runs to her. The woman stands up and was about to unite with her pet, but then piece of the street she was on falls and she is now stuck in a hole. "Stay where you are!" She calls out to her dog. She then moves as rocks fall down. "Help! Help me!" She cries out. The piece of the street she is on dropping deeper into the ground.
