Stiix & Stones

(Alright, alright, alright! We be continuing the journey. And so, I present to you the village of Stiix.)

We rode the train and took turns as lookout for any ghosts while the others slept. (What? Can't be too careful.) By morning, we finally arrived at Stiix. A town built above water with its streets being made of wood. They guys and I walk the wooden path to it and I look up to see a man fishing. "Welcome to Stiix. Uh, watch your step." He says. "Oh, I caught one." He says as he pulls on his fishing rod. "It's a big fella. Ugh, whoa. Whoa!" But he ends up falling into the water. Jay, Zane and Cole rush over to check on him, but my powers let me know he's okay. But then I feel fear and look to see Kai sitting down, looking around frantically.

"I didn't know you were afraid of heights." I give Jay a look as he walks off. "I'm fine with heights. It's water I hate." Kai says. "Seriously? I recall how you were going to swim across the entire ocean to fight the Overlord." I state, brushing a strand of hair back. "That was different. I was more focused on stopping the Overlord." He responds, defensively. "But you have not shown to have any problem after that." Zane says. I start walking to join the others. "Before I could make a fire dragon at will. Since Morro's taken over all our and our power's gone, I haven't felt-Ah!" I whip my head back to find Kai hanging on for his life as a board gave out under him. (Sheesh, got to get that fixed.) I rush over grab his arms and pull him up then set him on his feet. "Kai, calm down. We're on, mostly, solid ground." I say to him. (Not helping.) Cole walks over to us, "Now that we know ghosts don't like water either, at least we should feel safe surrounded by it." He states. "And the sooner we find Ronin and get the scroll, we can leave." I say to Kai. He takes a few breathes then nods his head.

We enter the village and I see some ugly dead fish hanging on some wooden beams. "Ugh, what a dump. You'd think the thief who stole the Scroll of Airjitzu would have better taste." Jay says nasally as he plugs his nose. I look at the ground, my hair swaying as I walk, "Not when said thief is Ronin." I mutter. I am really NOT wanting to see him again. "Ah, this is Ronin we're talking about. He'd steal the sea of it were worth anything." Cole states. "Question is where would he keep it all?" I add. (Yeah, where? 🤔) Cole chuckles and I smile from that, brushing my hair back as I look forward. "But now we just have to figure out which rock he's under and get the scroll before Morro does." He says. I stop smiling as nod in agreement with him. "Let's split up and start looking." Zane says.

We enter a shop and get to looking through all the stuff in the shop. I grab a book and hold it up to inspect, opening it to read what it held. Eh, it's just a cookbook. I close it and toss it aside as I look at a shelf displaying shiny shells. "Wait a minute, this is my dad's Blade Cup Trophy. What's it doing in a pawn shop?" I look to see Cole with said trophy. I shrug a shoulder, "Probably so that one can purchase it and feel like a winner?" I joke. "Selling stolen goods? Ha, sounds like we might have stumbled on the right place." Kai says. My powers flare up, "He's coming." I tell the guys.

Whistling is heard and Ronin appears with a vase in his hands. (Tis him!) "Ronin. Leaving so soon? Huh?" Jay says as he and Zane appear behind him while Cole and Kai walk up to him. "If this is about our last encounter, it was only business." Of course, it's always business with that guy. I roll my eyes then stealthily made my way to them. "You left us in the mouth of a-" "So you're still upset." Ronin interrupts Kai as he walks up to the counter which I am hiding behind. "Let me make it up to-Ah!" I appear in front of Ronin and he backs away from me. "With what? A trick?" I ask him, him backing away while I walk at him. "(Y/N)! Hey, hey. How's it going?" He says, I feel his nervousness with my powers.

"Well, I'm doing fine. How's your eye?" I ask him. I back him into a wall and he coughs, "Oh, well-Ahem! It's doing better." He coughs out. "Wait? What's this about his eye?" I hear Jay ask. "This jerk conned me out of a meal and ruined a shirt I like. Along with throwing me in a dumpster. So I decided to repay him by spraying thrown-out hot sauce in his eye under his patch and stole his ride while also going on a joy ride with it." I answer, not taking my eyes off Ronin. (Say what? 😐) "Wait, so you can hot wire." Jay says. (Call back to The Void.) Hands grab my waist as I'm picked up and moved away from Ronin. I huff as I am set down on my feet, blowing a strand of hair out of my face while turning to face Roin with my arms crossed as Cole stands beside me. "Nothing here is legit. Including you." He tells Ronin. "Yeah, I bet your airship's not far either." Jay adds. "What do you call it again? Rilo? Ruby?" He says.
