Zim groaned as he stood up. The roof of his house had a large, gaping hole in the center, and debris was scattered everywhere. He couldn't remember how he fell on the floor, and he couldn't remember if Dib left or not. The last thing he saw was a vision of Gir, but he wasn't Gir...it was strange. He shook his head as if to clear his thoughts. "Computer, start manual reboot," he ordered, the computer obeying. The bits of roof lifted into the sky and filled the hole above him. "Take me to the Equipment Room and prepare a canister of meltonite." He was soon elevated into the Equipment Room.
Though he hated to admit it, he missed Gir being around to annoy him. The thought of him and Mini-moose off doing...whatever they did when he wasn't screaming at them sent a pain through his entire squeegly spooch. He exhaled sharply. He held me back, he told himself, you don't need him. He was a malfunctioning SIR Unit...dangerously unstable.
Zim grabbed the tube of the bubbly gray oil and sighed heavily, his gut telling him he needed to save Gir. "He was holding me back," he reminded himself out loud. "Besides, the Gargantis Array is almost here. Computer, contact prisoner seven hundred seventy-seven." A screen full of static appeared before his green face and he wondered if it was going to appear. "You know they..." he was about to say to Gir, but he realized once again he was heartlessly alone. He shook his head again, the screen turning on.
"What is it now Zim?" Vortian, the prisoner, asked with a monotonous voice. "Ah, seven hundred seventy-seven, what a surprise!" Zim said, his old attitude returning. "You called me." Zim ignored his witty remark. "I need the final jump codes to...the Gargantis Array!" "WHAAAA?!" he yelled in surprise.

"Yes, my lord!" Bloody Gir said, flying upwards into the Earth's atmosphere. Red, sticky liquid flew down and hit the girl's face as she turned back to her pitiful state. "Good luck!" she called after him, friendly once again. The robot landed silently on the stone pavement that lead to Zim's house. Zim, his master. Zim, who betrayed him. Zim, the soon-to-be dead Irken.
He kicked open the door, missiles prepared to fire out of his head. Sirens went off so loud in the base even Bloody Gir could hear it, though the labs ran about two hundred miles into the ground. "What is the meaning of--" Zim exclaimed, suddenly in the doorway of the kitchen. "Gir! How did you...what did she...?!" he stammered. The robot held up a gooey, red hand. "Zim, for your actions I must punish you properly. Say goodbye, Invader Zim from planet Irk, say goodbye," Bloody Gir announced, sending a rocket flying at his former master. Smoke filled the room and not a sound was heard after it cleared. He checked Zim's pulse from his squeegly spooch. Nothing.
He left Zim laying there, dead, on the floor of his house. Police would arrive soon. "Next target, Dib Membrane, son of Professor Membrane. Siblings: Gaz, ninety-five percent threat," his guidance chip informed in his head.
A few minutes later he landed on the doorstep of the Membrane residence. He knocked on the door instead of busting it down like he did with Zim. Forget him, he's gone, he thought. Dib answered the door, rubbing his eye. "...Gir? Why are you here at six o'clock in the morning?" he asked. The robot heard his former name and his eye twitched angrily. "Perish for what you've done!" Bloody Gir then yelled, firing a large missile at the human. His camera switched off for a few seconds due to the use of his power it took to fire the rocket. When it came on, nothing was there except a pink-haired human with a bloody arm.
Something wasn't right in his system, like a deep ache that spread from his stomach to his fingertips. He used to love Gaz. He used to attempt to dance with her, sing with her...everything. Why did he have to kill them? For what they did. But...what did they do? What could be so bad he'd have to kill his friends, his crush, and his master?
