So Zim goes up to Sam reunited with his Pak once again, blah, blah, blah.
"Zim, why did you lie to me like that, back on... whatever that place was?" the girl asked, the gray bags under her eyes noticeable. "Nyah," Minimoose demanded, nodding. His eyes narrowed as he tried to remember. Yes, yes, it would seem that you'd remember if you died and came back, but at the moment--after seeing this "Jhonen" human and his friend--Zim only remembered one thing.
He turned his back on his only true love: Tak.
"I'm afraid I didn't know any better," he lied, "than to just tell you I was somebody else. It's just... Irk is such an amazing beauty and I'm a..." Zim's voice trailed off. A what? He was too arrogant to say he was an outcast, an unwanted traitor, but he couldn't say he was totally awesome and ruin the moment. He thought about his encounter with Silverfox and imagined his lean, gray body watching over him from the shadows of the ceiling. Zim stiffened to keep a shudder from running down his Irken spine. "Like that makes up for lying. Honesty is the best policy, and clearly you don't know what it means." Sam turned her back in a fit and gave an angry huff. Then it turned into a ragged breath as if she were holding in tears.
Something urged Zim to say something positive. To make it all better and true and right. To start something new to him. A relationship. But the words didn't come. "Nyah.... Nyah," Minimoose decided to himself, looking down. His stubby legs pointed straight down as he floated over to his green-skinned master. The robot from Vort was on Zim's side. But what about Gir?
"If you can't control your lying, then c'mon, guys, let's go." Sam stood up, turned around, and called Gir and Minimoose. Gir came flying to her with a bottle locked in his claws, but when he saw Minimoose standing beside Zim, he rocketed away from the girl and over to the Irken. Zim looked up at Sam smugly, having his minions restored. "I'm afraid your stolen robots are back in their rightful place," he taunted. "Gir, Minimoose, attack the human-stink! If any of you even think Silverfox is around, blow up his every last cell!" Gir and Minimoose saluted. Or, the moose tried, but he was too round to do much.
The pair of minions lunged at the girl, but something gray blocked it. Silverfox! Zim thought angrily. He threw and Irken shock-stick at the figure, but it dodged the weapon easily. A voice cried out in Irken tongue and Macabre leapt down from the pipes on the ceiling with a massive Roman shield. Zim had no time to wonder "Where did that come from?", "What will he do with a shield that isn't immune to lasers?", or even "Since when is another Irken on Earth?" because he was teleported away somehow. The last thing he remembered seeing in The Building was a large Tyrant--about Redcoast's size--looking into the teleport smugly with Macabre right beside him.

They walked in complete silence, both of their minds playing and replaying their little "moment". Dib still couldn't believe it... and couldn't wait to see the look on Zim's stupid green face. Tak couldn't believe it either, but that's because she knew Zim would be upset. Oh, how she had tried to keep everything straight! But she had to come to Earth for revenge... she had to kiss the imbecile who spat blood in her face... she had to get all mixed up in this catastrophe. Oh, how she had tried, indeed.
Suddenly the skies themselves opened up around them, a swirling portal of doom. It quickly dropped a figure down and closed with a pop. It hit the ground harshly around fifty yards away. Tak's eyes widened. Her ocular implants made it easy to see who it was. Zim. She took a step back, her mouth opening to say something to Dib, but then realized he would only make the situation worse with his hate for Zim. But she wasn't ready for the look of surprise, dissatisfaction, envy on his face. Not yet. "Let's keep walking," Tak said, taking Dib's arm and guiding him away. She turned away just in time to neglect Zim's weakly raised hand reaching out in her direction. She wouldn't help. She was almost glad when they arrived.
