"I've never seen you switch like that,
I had never seen that look in your eye, until that night.
The night that reminded me exactly who your parents are,
or perhaps, why your not like them...
That was a close call, but for a moment, I seen it. Seen her."

Mattheo.
I stared up a the raggedy house, feeling a small pit of something opening up in my stomach.
As if it was trying to tell me something, but of course, against my better judgment, I ignored it.
I thought back to nearly a year ago now, in a house so similar to this one, where I first watched Alexandra in all her glory. Taking down two of my men like they were simply nothing, just something in her way.
The way she fought, the mouth she had, the confidence she alluded... I realized how much I had watched it fade over this past year.
I wondered if she'd be here, which Alexandra I'd be met with tonight.
Brooks, or Brookie.
Two very different people in my mind.
Nonetheless, I pushed on, leading the boys and I up the trail to the half broken down front door.
If they didn't think we could sense them here, they were stupider than I thought they were.
Or perhaps, smarter.
"Theo, Draco, you two take the second floor. Blaise, Enzo main floor. I'll be switching between the both." I quickly ordered, as I turned back to the door, willing it open with my wand.
As I watched Theo and Draco blend into the shadows of the staircase, their movements practiced and deliberate, I felt an unsettling tension in the air.
The creaking sounds of the house enveloped us, as if it were a living things.
I cast a quick glance around the main floor—its despai was a perfect cover for those hiding within.
"Keep it quiet, Blaise," I murmured under my breath, as I turned for the stairs, just as I heard the distinct sound of a scuffle from the other side of the room.
Glancing over my shoulder, I spotted Blaise grappling with a figure, and it only took a second for recognition to dawn on me.
A Weasley.
With a mixture of irritation and concern, I made my way towards the commotion just as I was halfway up the stairs.
Which caused Enzo to come out of wherever the fuck he hid himself, and cause more distraction.
Causing an unstoppable chain of fucked up events, hearing upstairs joining in on the fun.
"Blaise—" I started, only for the curse to fly past my ear, singing the hairs on my neck.
I felt the energy crackle in the air, the unmistakable shimmer of magic, and the distinct pinch of fear hitched in my throat.
"Ugh!" came a muffled sound from the upper level—a tone I recognized all too well.
