All throughout my plane ride my mind wouldn't be quiet. I couldn't help but wonder what my real parents were like. I hope they are kind and gentle, unlike my Volturi parents who ruled with an iron fist and had no compassion for anyone except me.

I thought mostly about my sister. My twin sister. I didn't even know her name! I could picture her though, I hope we are identical, that would be so much fun!

My plane landed, I found out I was in America in a state named Washington, and I was escorted through the airport by hired bodyguards to a sleek black unidentifiable car. The hired driver was putting my bags into the trunk as my phone beeped.

It was a message from a unknown number.

Hi Melody! Can I call you Mel? I already know I will so I'm just going to say that's a yes. I'm your Aunty Alice and I just wanted to text you and let you know how excited we all are for you to come home! Don't be nervous! We all love you already, see you soon!

My Aunty Alice? So there are my parents, my sister, and my aunt Alice. Four members total? I can handle that. I'll be fine as long as there isn't a lot of people.

The driver got back in and started the car.

"Excuse me but where are we going?" I asked curiously.

"A town named Forks. Hours drive, feel free to settle, I'm sure your tired after such a long flight." He answered and smiled kindly at me.

It felt like we were there in no time. He came around and opened my door for me, he held out his hand and helped me out of the car making sure I didn't hurt my head. I didn't know if these were my fath-Aros commands or just his nature but I smiled and thanked him kindly anyway. It was a sweet gesture nonetheless.

The house was beautiful. A mansion really. Large, three stories I guessed, all painted white with a large wrap around porch. The front door suddenly opened and a man and woman walked out.

He was blonde and looked better than any movie star I had ever seen, and that was the same for his caramel haired woman companion.

"Hello Melody, I'm Carlisle Cullen and this is my wife Esme. We're your grandparents." He smiled so kindly at me I thought I might start crying when he said grandparents. Suddenly I was being hugged tightly. Hugging wasn't really something I was used to. The arms swung me around carefully and fondly. When I was set down I realized it was Esme who had hugged me so dearly.

"You don't know how wonderful it is to meet you!"she smiled so sweetly I couldn't help but feel endearment for her and Carlisle both.

"I think I have an idea." I smiled kindly in return and Esme put her hands over her mouth and looked like she might start crying. Carlisle hugged her closely to him as he put an arm around my shoulders and started walking me to the house with them.

"Everyone is so excited to meet you!" Esme smiled at me as she came around to my other side and slipped an arm around me also "Ever since we were told about you a week ago you're all anyone's been able to talk about." Carlisle smiled at me as he opened the door wide.

I was suddenly in the air.

"She's here! She's here! She's actually real!" An impossibly strong, bulky man exclaimed as he set me down.

"Emmet stop, you're scaring her!" A blonde scarred man scolded him.

"Mel!" A little woman with black spiky hair danced up to me and threw her arms around me tightly.

"There's no need to be afraid! I told you we all love you already!" She exclaimed and hugged me tighter.

"Wait. You're Alice?" I questioned and she stepped away nodding her head.

"That's Jasper, your uncle, my mate. Emmet and his mate Rosalie, also your aunt and uncle." She pointed everyone out.

"It's so nice to meet you!" The blonde Rosalie stepped forward and hugged me tightly as well "I'm so glad you have a sense of fashion." She let out a sigh of relief as she stepped away and everyone laughed.

I had changed into a sleek white dress with a flare skirt at the airport. It complimented my hair and eye colors nicely, as well as my cream colored flesh. The only jewelry I was wearing was my charm bracelets, three total, all on one wrist. My hair was pulled up into an old fashioned up-do.

"So...where are my...parents?" I asked and I felt absolutely ridiculous to be saying it.

"They went hunting as a precaution. They should be back shortly." Carlisle smiled at me.

"A precaution? Is there any danger here?" I asked.

"Oh no of course not! They just wanted to set a good example really...in case." Esme answered and looked down quickly.

I was confused at first until I realized what they thought.

"You all think I feed on humans." I shut my eyes tightly and pleaded with myself not to be sick.

"We didn't know Melody, Aro told us virtually nothing about you." Carlisle rubbed my arm.

"I don't drink blood period. Human or animal regardless. Never have never will." I opened my eyes and they all looked shocked.

"How do you get sustainment?" Carlisle asked.

"I eat normal food, the thought of killing anything makes me be sick." I explained.

"Wow." Emmett sighed.

"Plus even the sight and smell of blood makes me pass out." I giggled and they all laughed along.

"You get that from your mother." A tall, bronze haired man suddenly laughed coming around the corner.

"Edward!" A small brown haired woman exclaimed and playfully hit his arm.

"It's true Bella and you know it!" He smiled a crooked grin that I knew very well, I had the same one.

I couldn't believe it. My real parents were here. Right in front of me, close enough for me to run and hug them, and I just stood there watching them.

"Hello." Bella smiled at me.

"Ciao." I smiled back and everyone laughed "What? Italian is my first language." I laughed along with them.

I never felt like I belonged in Italy, surrounded by evil, and all I wanted was someone kind enough to do the right thing. Here I was surrounded by good for the first time in my life.

I looked back to my parents and they were just smiling so brightly at me I wanted to start crying. So I did.

Edward looked panicked as the first of the silent tears rolled down my cheeks. I had been holding everything in up until that point and there was no stopping it. He looked down at my mother with a confused expression and she pushed him forward. He slowly moved his arms around me, enveloping me in a hug, and it just made me cry harder. I latched onto him and he hugged me even tighter.

I feel like I truly belong here.
