Epilogue

The wind was gentle. The air carried the scent of damp earth and fading flowers

Jungkook's lone figure, cloaked in black, stood before a weathered grave

He knelt, his fingers grazing the name etched into the stone... Lee Y/N (2006–2025)

300 years

Three centuries had passed since that night. Since she had torn apart the very fabric of the Devil World. Since she had given everything... including herself for justice

The world had long moved on. Humans had forgotten. Time had erased her from their history

But not from him

Never from him

He closed his eyes, exhaling softly. The weight of immortality settled over him like a second skin... familiar, inescapable

And yet, for the first time in centuries, he felt human again

Sitting here, in front of her grave, he was not the Devil King

He was just Jungkook

And he was still in love with her...

Jungkook's fingers curled into fists as memories flooded back, her laughter, her stubbornness, the fire in her eyes when she stood up to him, the rare softness when she looked at him with something he had once been too blind to see

He let out a breathless chuckle "You told me, didn't you?"

His voice was hoarse. Worn with time

"I remember now"

His gaze dropped, guilt creeping into his expression

The night she had confessed

The night she had stood before him, vulnerable, open, her heart in her hands

And he had been too consumed by his own doubts, his obsession with finding the truth about her, to see it

To see her

To hear the word 'I love you'

"I was a fool" he whispered, his voice breaking slightly "I should have told you then... I should have held onto you when I had the chance"

A gust of wind swept past him, ruffling his cloak, carrying with it the soft scent of lavender, her scent

Jungkook stilled

For a moment, just a fleeting second, he could almost feel her beside him

Almost hear her voice

"I loved you then... I love you now... and I always will" he whispered. His lips pressed into a thin line as his eyes stung, but he didn't let the tears fall

Not today

Instead, he bowed his head, resting his forehead gently against the cold stone

"I won't forget" he promised "Not in this lifetime. Not in the next"

Silence stretched. The world around him remained still

And as the Devil King sat at the grave of the only person he had ever truly loved, the moon above shone a little brighter, watching over them, as it always had

And it always would

THE END🖇️

Dear Readers,

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being part of this journey. Whether you've been here since the beginning or joined along the way, your support, and love have meant everything to me. Writing this story has been an emotional rollercoaster, I have literally changed the whole concept for like 2-3 times, but I hope at the end it was a readable book🌧️

And of course, I'm not a professional writer, so there are probably a lot of messy parts and unclear details, I hope you can forgive me for that and enjoyed the book

This book may have ended, but the memories we created together will always remain

Now, I have an important announcement,

As I'm approaching 20, I feel like it's time for a change. Writing fanfics about grown men no longer feels right for me, it feels illogical, and I want to explore new stories and ideas

This doesn't mean I'll stop writing, just that I'll be starting fresh. I'll be writing original like stories now (mostly Desi) which are basically same vibes with different names. If you're interested you can read them on my second account
