It was Sunday today, everyone, including me was home as it's a off day

And after the argument this morning, Y/N and I hadn't exchanged a single word, whole day she kept giving me side eyes and glares, but I tried to ignore her the whole time to not show any reaction, and now it was already nighttime

We all sat in the dining room, eating our dinner in silence

Everything seemed perfectly normal, until my eyes fell on my brother, Ji-Yeong. He kept glancing at Y/N, who sat beside me. His eyes filled with many emotions but anxiety and fear stood out the most

'Why is he acting so mysterious lately? Is something going on between them?' I thought as I chewed my food slowly

I then glanced at Y/N but she seemed completely normal, as if oblivious to everything around her

'If there's anything happening, I need to find out, whether it's good or bad'

"I'm done. Thank you for the dinner" Ji-Yeong said cutting my thoughts, as he finished his meal before anyone and stood up to leave. Before he could go upstairs, I stopped him "Ji-Yeong, I need to talk to you" I said

"To me? About what, hyung? Did I do something wrong?" he asked, raising an eyebrow

"No, nothing like that" I said with a reassuring smile "We haven't talked much lately, so I thought it would be nice to have a brotherly chat"

"Oh, okay! I'll wait for you in your office then" he said, smiling. But as he turned to leave, I noticed him giving Y/N a fleeting glance, the same uneasy look in his eyes

After he left, I again glanced at Y/N. She didn't even lift her head, unlike everyone else, and her face showed no trace of emotion, like she can't feel anything

I sighed shaking my head in disbelief as I again continued eating in silence

After finishing my own meal, I too stood up and headed to my office to meet Ji-Yeong

As I entered, I found him lounging on the couch with one leg draped over the armrest, his eyes were glued to his phone

I chuckled and cleared my throat to grab his attention since he hadn't noticed me yet. He immediately jolted upright, putting his phone down on the table "Oh, hyung!" he exclaimed, quickly adjusting his position to sit properly like the obedient little brother he always pretended to be

I walked over and sat next to him on the couch "I just realized how much my baby brother has grown" I teased, ruffling his hair lightly, making his cheeks flushed a light pink as he whined "Hyung... I'm not a baby anymore" he said, pouting slightly "I'm an adult now!"

I laughed more at his feign annoyed reaction. No matter how much he grows, he will always be that tiny boy I remember

Honestly, whenever I'm alone with him, I feel a mix of pride and nostalgia. I can still picture the day we first met him in the hospital. Hiya and I even fought over who would get to hold him first... and Dad, he almost kicked us out for being too loud and scaring the little Ji-Yeong. It feels like all of that happened just yesterday

Time really flies fast, isn't it? That cute little boy I remember is now 18 years old and is at same height as me

"So, how's life treating you?" I asked, finally breaking the silence to start a conversation

"Same as always, eating, studying, gaming. The usual!" he replied, his tone dripping with sarcasm "And you? Lemme guess, still stuck in your workaholic routine? Work, work and more work" I chuckled at his words, they were true but seems funny at how he explained "Yeah, pretty much. Work, work, and more work" "See? I was right" he teased, making me chuckle once again
