The hospital room was dimly lit, the soft glow from the lamps casting a peaceful aura over the space. Sarah was resting in the hospital bed, her newborn daughter wrapped snugly in a pale pink blanket in her arms. John B stood beside her, looking like he'd just run a marathon, but the pride and love in his eyes were undeniable.

You and the rest of the Pogues slowly filed in, the energy shifting from chaotic excitement to pure awe as you all laid eyes on the tiny Pogue that had just entered the world.

"She's perfect," you whispered, smiling softly as you stepped closer to Sarah's bedside.

"Thanks," Sarah chuckled tiredly. "We think so too."

As everyone gathered around, taking turns admiring the baby and congratulating the new parents, John B grinned and glanced at you and Rafe, who stood close together with your hands intertwined.

"You know," John B teased, "You two should be next. I mean, look how cute she is. Don't you want one of your own?"

Before you could even respond, Pope—bless his timing—decided to chime in.

"Oh, she does," Pope said nonchalantly, smirking. "She just wants JJ to be the father."

The room went dead silent.

Sarah's eyes widened in confusion while John B's head snapped toward you and Rafe with pure bewilderment.

"I'm sorry, what?" Sarah blinked, glancing between you, Rafe, and a very offended JJ.

JJ threw his hands up. "Are we seriously still on this?!"

You burst into laughter, unable to hold it in any longer. Rafe simply shook his head with a sigh, though the corner of his lips twitched in amusement.

"Okay, okay," you said, still giggling. "Let me explain."

You recounted the entire waiting room ordeal—how you'd tried to mess with Rafe, expecting him to freak out, only for him to completely call your bluff. And then, of course, your genius move of throwing JJ into the mix for dramatic effect.

By the time you finished, Sarah was laughing so hard tears welled in her eyes, and even John B couldn't help but chuckle.

"Damn, you really had JJ ready to pass out," John B grinned, clapping JJ on the back.

"I almost had a heart attack," JJ muttered, still clearly traumatized. "Y'all are sick."

"Admit it," you teased, smirking at him. "It was funny."

JJ narrowed his eyes at you before cracking a reluctant smile. "Yeah, yeah. Whatever."

The room filled with laughter again, and for a moment, everything felt perfect. The Pogues, the memories, the love you all shared—it was exactly what you'd always dreamed of.

Later that night, you and Rafe finally made it back to your house. The adrenaline from the day had worn off, and now you were both comfortably settled in your shared bedroom.

You stood in front of the mirror, brushing your hair, while Rafe leaned against the doorframe, watching you with that signature smirk that still made your heart flutter after all this time.

"You really had JJ spiraling today," Rafe chuckled.

You grinned at him through the mirror. "It was gold."

Rafe was quiet for a moment, then took a few steps closer. "So... you really don't want a baby now?"

You turned to face him, your expression softening. "I never said that."

His brow lifted slightly. "No?"

You set the brush down on the dresser and walked toward him, wrapping your arms around his neck. "Rafe Cameron," you murmured, "I would love to have a baby. I would love to give my husband his baby and create a family with him."

Rafe's eyes softened, something indescribable flickering in them—love, relief, excitement. He cupped your face gently, his thumb brushing over your cheek.

"I've been ready for that since the day I married you," he admitted quietly. "Hell, probably since we started dating."

Your heart melted at his words.

"Then what are we waiting for?" you whispered with a smile.

Rafe's lips curved into a grin before he scooped you up effortlessly, making you squeal as he carried you toward the bed. He gently laid you down, hovering over you as he pressed soft kisses along your jawline.

"You sure you're ready for this?" he asked, his tone playful but filled with genuine love.

You giggled, pulling him closer. "I've never been more ready."

Rafe's smile widened before he leaned in, capturing your lips in a deep, passionate kiss. Your hands tangled in his hair as he pressed his body against yours, every touch filled with love and anticipation for the future you were about to create together.

And that night, beneath the warmth of the sheets and the love you shared, you and Rafe began writing the next chapter of your lives—one that would soon be filled with laughter, tiny feet, and the little family you'd both been dreaming of.
