chapter two

(Lydia's POV)

I stand in the school hall with daisy, she's my step sister. I have one real sister and one half sister but that's basically my blood relations except from my mum and dad.

I have endless amounts of step family that I hardly even bother with anymore. The only reason I'm bothering with Daisy and her brother David is because Daisy goes to my school. She's the only friend I've got and probably will have lately, not that I think we will stay here long with mum's reputation.

My mum, well let's say she gets about a lot. After her and dad divorced he was supposed to have me to, but he said I looked too much like my mother, and he couldn't handle the pain so he sent me away with my mother. My mum re-married to Kiran and we lived with him for at least 8 years. Until they got divorced too, Kiran wanted to keep me but I wasn't a blood relations so I had to stay with my mum for the rest of the husbands, we are on number 5 now. Quite a lot really.

And if there was one thing I learnt from my mum, it's that love never lasts. I've even tried it myself but it doesn't work...something always gets in the way and ruins it. And that's about every love I don't even have family love I haven't seen my real sister and dad in 5 years and my half sister... well I can't even remember what she looks like; it's been that long. I would   of loved to know them but I never got the chance because of my mum. I wouldn't of cared if it was just the two of us but she just gave herself to a man, like she's an item. Women did not go through all that trouble to get votes so she could chuck herself around.

If it was just us two maybe things would be different, but she doesn't see it that way and because she's married she doesn't spend time with me or know a thing about me.

So I was standing in the hall with daisy talking about my first day and how exciting it should be. But its my fourth school and I know a lot about moving around and how to start the day.

'So your form class is 156  it's on the second floor to the right just follow the numbers' Daisy seemed to take this transmission really easily I think she quite liked the idea of having a sister.

'Thanks Daisy,' I lean back on the wall behind me

'So at break time who are you going to hang out with?'

I stare at her blankly ' well Daisy I'm gonna hang out with random people
I don't know cause I'm totally new at this school...of course I'm gonna hang with you I don't know anyone at this school but you!'

She lets out a little laugh like she knows how stupid that question is. 'Oh right yeah.'

'How long until school starts?' What do people call this time where it's before school and your just waiting for it too start?

'It's got a few minutes, not long left. You're in my second lesson so I won't have to meet you at break time....'

She just rambles on and I almost feel sorry for her – she looks nervous and I don't have a clue why.

'Daisy, take a chill pill anyone would think it's your first day and not mine.'

She lets out another laugh before looking behind me, her eyes widen and she has that smile I have when I see a picture of Zac Effron. I turn around to see what the fuss was about.

Behind me was a very attractive guy, brown hair, muscles on his arms which stand out from his black v Neck. Looks like he could have a six pack and v line and a nice jaw line. He had glasses which made him more sexy and was quite tall. I see what she means definitely every girls type. He glances my way and sends me a smile, like that was supposed to make my heart flutter yeah right.

I turn back to Daisy 'he's Ryan, the footballer, top student and total fitty.'

The blusher is rushing on her face, he looks like someone I used to know. And from that description probably acts like him too. 'He looks fine but not my type,'

Her mouth hangs open, I mean I just told her I didn't like Ryan not that aliens was going to attack. 'Not your type! He's everyone's type! Wait are you a lesbian?'

She couldn't of shouted it out any louder. I give her a scowl 'no I'm not a lesbian, I just don't fall for people!'

Her mouth closes as the bell rings she starts heading the same direction to me

'This is because of that boy,' I don't remember telling her about him.. that bitch what else has my mum been telling everyone.

'Partly because of him,' we start to match up the stairs.

'What did he do that was so bad?' The question was what didn't he do? He promised me stuff, he couldn't keep breaking my heart. Made me suffer.

'Nothing don't worry ' we were at the top of the stairs and she had to head the other way to me, she gives me a concerned look 'seriously it's nothing!'

'Well it's something if you can't love.' She lets out a huff before turning around 'Bye Lydia'
I walk down the hall looking at the numbers on the door 154,155,156.
I stop at the door before walking in and over to the teacher she looked like a nice person with her yellow dress.

'Hey I'm Lydia I'm in your class' I hand her a piece of paper with all the details on

'Ah yes nice to meet you Lydia.' She gives me a sweet smile and I return it. ' you will sit next to Ryan.'

She points to the only free seat in the class. I turn to see the guy from the hall sitting there smiling at me.
