Ryan's pov:
Next morning in class, my form stream in, including me. We all hurry to our desks like rats to cheese, and get our stuff out. Today is meant to be the day where we get a new form tutor, our last one was sacked; thanks to the wine. She used to drink and smoke in this room, at the bottom of the classroom. Now look at her at the bottom of her life.
However, I wait for that one person, that one person who hasn't been in class for 2 weeks. That one person who defies the inevitable, that one person who lights up the day when it's raining. That one person who gets rid of hell, and opens heaven. That one person.......
Lydia.
At 9:45, our new teacher charges into the classroom, leaving the door wide open behind her. Her small bulbous body carries a laptop underneath her rotting armpits, by the looks of it.
"Okay, I'm your new for tutor, and I'll be taking you guys for the rest of your high school life! Now enough about me; there's a pupil at the door."
She ushers to the door, beckoning the pupil to come inside.
Could it be Lydia?
To my disappointment, it's not Lydia; it's a new student. He walks in with swagger, as he unzips his burgundy jacket, and tightens up the buckle on his belt. His tallness strikes the class atmosphere, with the prospect of fear. Saying in our minds "you don't want to mess with me."
"Okay, this is Alex! He's an athlete outside and inside of school, and performs duets and plays in his free time. Now Alex, please take your seat next to Ryan."
Wait Lydia sits next to me! Despite my awful gnarly look on my face I shoot with at Alex, he comes over to my desk. And takes a seat.
"Yeah sorry a girl already sits here, but I guess you can have this spot in the classroom if you must." I say to Alex.
"Well she's not here now, so I'll take it thanks!" He replies in an almost sarcastic manner.
God he's a dick.
"Who sits here anyway?" He asks.
"A girl named Lydia Cross; and don't get any ideas, she's mine."
"Whoa man! Lydia Cross! I'm her ex! Jesus man, I'm glad she separated from me! I just transferred over here, and I was in fact looking for her." Alex answers.
He's looking for Lydia?
Suddenly a spark ignites inside of my head, and the sherlock opens up.
Lydia was annoyed with me, because I made a move on her in the gym, when I was showing off. I reminded her of him. Alex. Her ex. That's why she's not in school!
But to her doubt, she doesn't know that Alex is in school!
In our class!
"Well tough luck idiot, Lydia's off, and if you lay a finger on her, I will smash you."
I say, acting all defensive over Lydia, eventhough she's not mine.
