"Lorenzo, honey, why aren't you in bed yet?" Mama chuckles as she enters my bedroom, finding me sat on my windowsill.

"Look, Mama!" I point my finger to the sky, and turn to face my mum.

"What is it, honey?" She makes her way over and looks at what I'm pointing at.

"Look at the stars!"

"Oh, wow, what a clear night," she comments, before glancing down at me, "the stars are beautiful, honey."

"Uh huh," I nod my head and look back up at the twinkling dots in the sky.

"Can I show Noah and Chiara?" I turn around and get ready to jump off my windowsill and run into their bedroom.

"Sure, honey, your dad and I will grab the twins," she kisses my head and walks out.

Whilst I wait, I turn back around and try to count them.

I get up to fourteen before I get lost, and then mum and dad come in each holding a wriggling toddler.

I clap my hands in excitement and my dad smiles down at me.

He leans down and passes my sister to me.

"Look, Chiara," I say softly, "look at the stars," although it's late, her eyes are wide open and she starts to wriggle in my arms.

"They're pretty, huh?" I smile down at my sister.

I look over at Noah, and find him sleeping in my mum's arms, so she leaves to put him back to bed.

"Stars, look, Zo," she stands up against the window.

"I like them," she has her face pressed against the clear glass.

"Do you, bambina?" My dad smiles.

"Uh huh," she grins.

My mum comes back into my room and stands by the window with us.

Me, Chiara, my mum and dad spend a while just looking at the stars. I like the peaceful moment.

"Come on, mia cara, time for bed," my dad picks Chiara up from the windowsill after she lets out a yawn.
