"Hey" Ally says softly after watching the girls pull out of the driveway.
"Hey" I say back.
"How'd things go with you and Lauren?" She asks. I'd love to tell her with excitement that she kissed me but after that fall out with Dinah, I just don't have the energy to. That doesn't mean I'm not gonna tell her though...
"Yeah we um... We kissed" I say more casually than I expected.
"What?! That's amazing!" She says moving closer to me.
"Yeah" I say with a monotone voice.
"What's up? Is it what Dinah said?" Ally asks.
"Yeah. I mean she's over reacting, Tate's parties are the same thing over and over and as you probably realized, I need to call it off with him and my original plan, before I was friends with Lauren was to get her to join the cheer squad and be 'popular' but now I realize how shallow that is, how shallow I was for thinking that. Now I know that I love her And it's not just a school girl crush that's gonna pass in a month. I don't care what they think of me. I wanna come out and show the world that I love this girl but it's just hard, Ya know?" I start to sob, Ally pulls my head to her chest and starts to run her fingers through my hair.
"I understand. Even though you are proud to love Lauren, you're just afraid of what's gonna change." She took the words right out of my mouth.
