*Camila's POV*
School comes on Monday and I have a lump in my throat and a knot in my stomach. This is the first day back after Lauren and I were outed this weekend to what I assume is the whole school. I park my car in my usual space but this time, I don't wait up for Lauren to avoid taunting or reminding them if they forgot. I really am proud to love Lauren, I just don't feel like dealing with this today.
I enter the school with my head hung low praying that nobody notices me. It's almost like my usual confidence disappeared.
I hear whispering and feel people staring at me. I look up briefly and there is a group of cheerleaders standing in front of me.
"Hi" I whisper.
"Why'd you quit?" One of them asks.
"I need to catch up on my school work." I say softly, not making eye contact.
"Really because that's not what I heard." She says.
"What did you hear?!" I exclaim louder than I intended and quickly cover my mouth.
"I heard that you quit because you wanna be with your girlfriend" she sneers. I don't have anything to respond with so I attempt to walk around them but they block me off.
"Is it true? You're dating that Lauren girl? Who knew you were a dyke! All those years we spent changing in the same locker room, God I bet you were staring-"
"Just stop" I interrupt. "Just because I'm lesbian Doesn't mean that I'm always staring at you. You only look at hot guys, I only look at hot girls... So I guess you guys are safe from me" I say with a smirk and place a hand on my hip. There's my confidence coming back.
"OH SHÏT" I hear from a guy behind me.
"Whatever, dyke." She says as she turns away and leaves. I rush to my home room holding my head down again hoping there's no more confrontation to come. It was pretty fun owning that girl though.

After my first class is over, I usually meet Lauren at her locker but based on all the stares and dirty looks I've gotten today, I think it's best if I don't so I continue past her locker on to my next class which Ally is in.
"Hey!" She chirps as she runs up to me.
"Hey" I say in a monotone voice.
"What's up?" She asks, turning to me with a concerned look.
"Oh nothing. I only got outed to the whole school and I can't go anywhere without their abuse." I snap. "Sorry... Is been a long day" I apologize
"It's alright. I get it." The shorter girl stands on her tip toes to hug me.
"Oooh Camila are you cheating?" A girl says and I quickly back away from Ally.
I turn around to see who it was but she disappeared into the crowded hall.
"God..." I mutter.
"I'm sorry." Ally apologizes "I didn't know it was this bad"
"It's alright. It's not your fault. It's theirs." I respond as we walk into our classroom.

The day goes by and as painful as it is, I avoid Lauren at all costs by taking hallways I know she won't be in and leaving campus for lunch. All I want is to talk to her but I'm expecting the worse if I do here. I run out to the parking lot and lock myself in my car and pull out my phone to text Lauren:
C: I miss you
L: I miss you more
C: were they as mean to you as they were to me?
L: I doubt it. I didn't really pay attention.
C: if anyone hurts you, tell them that I'm coming for them 👊
L: NO MORE FIGHTING PEOPLE
C: I only fight people who fûck with my girl
C: meet me at my house.
L: try not to fight anyone in the time it takes for me to get to your house
C: no promises 😉
