Chapter 5

*Camila's POV*
"Mila why would you do that? You've been looking forward to this party all summer and you ditch it to have a slumber party like its eighth grade with some girl who nobody has ever talked to? Something is seriously up with you. I'm legit worried" Dinah snaps.
"Chill. It will just be one night. You don't even have to come..." I trail off.
"No I'll be there... I wanna see why you felt the need to blow of the first party of the year to go hang out with Lauren. Are you like gay for her or something?!?" Dinah yells. Ouch.
"Watch it." I say shooting her a mean glare and quickly glancing back to the road after I realize that I am a small Cuban girl and she could beat my aśś in a heartbeat.
"So uh Ally, Mani... Are you coming?" I say trying to change the subject.
"Yeah, I'll be there. Seems kind of fun" She says. I've known her for long enough to know when she's faking. She's just too nice to let anyone down.
"I guess considering I have nothing else to do" Normani says sternly crossing her arms and turning to the window.
"Good. Please be nice to her. I just..." What do I say? I didn't think this through. Was Dinah serious when she thought I was gay for her. Was it obvious? I can't say it's like one of those things in the movies where the popular girls try and make the nerdy girl popular just to tear her down because I don't want to seem like a bîtch. What other choice do I have though?
"I just want to know her. You know she's really pretty and has a nice body. Maybe we can recruit her to the cheer squad because we are short one girl after Jade broke her leg ya know? So I kind of thought it would be fun to fix her up, make her popular and all that" I finish. Good job, Camila you kinda dragged it on pretty far so it might seem like you're lying but hopefully they didn't catch it. Nice
