Chapter 6

*Lauren's POV*
I'm definitely more nervous than I should be. Wait, I might have underestimated myself- I'm less nervous. If It were really getting to me I would've said no. But I didn't. I'm gonna try to put myself out there. I'm constantly hearing how high school was the "best four years of my life" so I guess maybe I could see why. To me it's a living hell but it all depends on your perspective.

"Come on in!" Camila says with a smile opening the door for everyone. She seems the nicest out of all of them. They've all been giving me dirty looks since I saw them at the red light.
"So should we watch a movie?" Camila says with an awkward smile after nobody answered her before.
"Uh sure" I say quietly, feeling kind of bad that her friends seem mad at her.
"Ok! Mean Girls it is" she says shuffling towards her tv remote as the girls settle on the couch like they're at home. They've been the original popular girls and best friends since I can remember so they probably feel comfortable here. I sit next to Ally because she seems the nicest aside from Camila. Normani and Dinah are pretty intimidating.
"Mila I'm making popcorn" Dinah says going to the kitchen.
"Get drinks to I'm thirsty" Camila says settling on the couch next to me.

I hadn't seen Mean Girls before this. Sue me, it's a "classic" I know. But as weird as it is, I feel like their the Plastics and I'm Cady. They are trying to get me in their group but they are probably gonna hate me in the end. Camila is like Regina. The girl who everyone knows is a bîtch but seems sweet to the girl she's preying on. I don't know what Cady was doing in the movie though. If I had friends like Damien and Janice I would be like "screw drama. You're my friends" but I suppose that wouldn't make a very interesting plot.
"So Lauren what's up? You haven't said much since you've been here" Camila says turning to me as the credits roll onto the screen.
"Umm nothing much." Aside from the fact that I am completely confused on why you invited me over here and why you're being so nice, nothing really I guess.
