When we got back to the station everyone was looking at me with a smirk on their face.
Finally, I decided to see what was going on.
"What's going on guys? You're all looking at me like you know something and I don't." I ask.
"Oh, nothing lover boy," Garcia said.
"What are you talking about?" I ask. I know exactly what they were talking about. They all know I have a thing for the blonde.
I didn't even catch her name!
"We knew you had a thing for her when you rescued her from the trunk. You couldn't keep your eyes off of her as you carried her." Emily said laughing.
"Into the sunset," Garcia said gushing.
I pursed my lips.
"I don't have a thing for her I'm just comforting her," I said defending myself.
"Alright lover boy," Hotch said.
"So if you don't like her you don't think she is pretty?" Morgan said.
"Or cute?" Garcia added.
"Well... she is pretty," I said. "And she likes my humor I told her about..."
"The jello?" Emily said finishing my sentence.
I smiled. "Yeah, the jello."
"Well, I think we are done for the day," Morgan said taking his jacket.
I grabbed my satchel and looked at my watch.
12:47 am.
Everyone was leaving and it was just Morgan and I.
"Alright lover boy lock up when you're ready." He said.
"I thought I was pretty boy," I said.
"Loverboy." He said closing the door.
I peeked out the window and made sure he left when I went into Garcia's office.
"Ok time to find out about blondie," I said sitting in her chair.
Unfortunately, she has a password and I couldn't figure it out.
Just when I lost hope I saw a file on the coffee table in the lounge.
I opened and saw a picture of a deadman in bed. I flipped through the papers and saw a file with her picture and information.
Here we go.
Her name is Kelly Hayfield.
She is 18.
Her address was 406 yard street
Her mother died in 2010.
And her dad today.
No close other relatives.
She had straight As, played volleyball and very social.
I felt a feeling in my gut.
I... I'm sad.
I feel so bad for her. I need to see her.
I jump in my car and drive to the hospital.
Kelly's POV
"Ok, hun I'm gonna get some rest. There are some other doctors that stay here. Push this button if you need something." The nurse said to me.
I nodded and looked at my empty jello cup and then I felt drowsy. I held it close to me, closed my eyes, and fell asleep.
Spencer's POV
I nearly ran into her nurse as I entered the hospital.
"Hey what do you think you're doing?" She said stopping me.
"Can I just stay here for the night? Keep an eye on her?" I beg.
"Only family sir." She said.
"Look, she doesn't have any more family. Her mom died 5 years ago and her dad died just hours ago. I'm the only one she has talked to so far. Please." I said.
She hesitated.
"I guess but this isn't gonna happen again." She said.
"Thank you," I said and I walked to her room.
When I got there I peeked through the window and she was asleep.
I carefully opened the door and slipped in.
I saw the empty jello cup in her hand held close to her.
She was adorable when she was sleeping. I sat in the chair next to the hospital bed.
I just watched her sleep and listen to the ECG beep slowly.
I felt really tired and drowsy.
I sat in the uncomfortable hospital chair and tilted my head back and fell asleep.
