I saw a car pull up out front and it was Emily.
I opened the French doors from the apartment and got in her car.
"Hi Kelly are you ready to go shopping?" She asked.
"Yes I'm totally excited. Where do you think we will go?" I asked.
"Um how about the mall." She said.
I nodded. "I brought my wallet too for money. I don't have a whole bunch to spend though." I said.
"They are having sales at Aeropostale and Vivo." She mentioned.
We pulled into the parking lot and I saw the giant building.
"You look so surprised." Emily said looking at me.
"Oh I've never seen a mall in person before." I said opening the car door.
She looked at me funny and got out of the car as well.
We walked to the entrance and I felt the breeze of cold air come from the ceiling.
"Ok so Garcia told me she was going to have a party tonight. I wasn't supposed to tell anyone. Just you, me and Garcia know right?" She said.
"Correct."
"Ok and it's at her house and she has a pool so I assume we might swim. So I'm thinking we go to Aeropostale and find a cute but comfortable outfit easy to slip on and off with your swimsuit underneath." She said.
We walked to Aeropostale and I saw the dark glow bounce off the clothes and plastic hangers.
The pounding music was intimidating and made me want to dance.
"Ooo look at this." Emily said holding up a floral top.
"That's pretty." I said looking around still.
We split up a little and searched for an outfit.
All of a sudden I heard her call my name. "Kelly... I think I found it."
I rush over to her and she is holding a seafoam green tank top with a cute lacy design in the back. Next to the top she had white shorts.
"This top is thin so with a black swimsuit underneath would look cute together." She said.
"I think I saw something over here." I said walking to a stand.
I picked up the black and white striped bikini top with seafoam green outline and the bikini bottoms were just plain black.
"Yes that's the one. You ready to pay?" She said excited.
"Yes I am."
Spencer's POV
I wonder what she was doing besides shopping.
And shopping for what?
I think I'm overreacting.
Emily probably wanted to buy her some shoes or something.
I picked my book up.
I couldn't focus.
I texted her.
Right when my message sent she came through the door with a bag in her hand.
She rushed to her room and threw it in there.
Then she noticed me sitting in the chair.
"Oh my gosh Spencer you scared me." She said jumping.
"Sorry I didn't mean to startle you." I said.
"It's ok I get startled easily anyway." She said smiling and looking down.
"Are you keeping something from me?" I said looking into her eyes.
"No." She simply said ignoring my gaze.
"Yes you are. I can tell." I said.
"So what your a genius and you can read minds." She said laughing.
"So my hypothesis is right?" I said smiling.
"I never said that." She said quietly and swaying back and forth.
"And I don't read minds I can tell my your body language and minimal eye contact." I said.
"So I'm going to ask you again are you hiding something from me?" I said.
She smiled. "Yes. It's not bad."
I knew it.
"I can actually read minds." I said joking.
She looked up and playfully hit my arm and laughed.
"What is it?" I said quietly.
"So many questions." She said smiling and spinning around. "Different subject." She said giggling.
"Like what?" I asked just to get on her nerves.
She looked at me saying stop with her eyes.
"Alright I'm done." I say.
