"Ok so I saved JJ's life and I felt... I felt good." I was beginning to say but then I saw Spencer walk in.
I ran to him and jumped on him, giving him a bear hug.
"Spencer where were you?" I asked him.
"I had to grab something. I'm so proud of you." He said looking into my eyes and smiling.
"We all are. You saved me." JJ said patting my back.
I smiled and then remembered what was on my mind.
"Guys I have something to say." I said getting everyone's attention.
I took a deep breathe and reminded myself about the decision I have made.
"I have thought about it and because I am 17 and I have been thinking about my future. I have taken consideration on this thought and I think I want to work for the BAU. I could take classes online like I am now. Spencer can help me. All of you can help me." I said.
Everyone looked at each other with small smiles.
"I want to help people like you guys do. I mean I saved JJ and I feel very helpful. I just think what if I can feel like that all the time." I added.
Everyone was quiet in thought.
"But Kelly it's not always that easy. There are some cases that are extremely difficult." Spencer said behind me with an unsure expression.
"That's why I train. I could handle it." I said.
"I think she's built for the job." Derek said with a smile.
"Yeah I mean she did use a unique tactic to get out of the zip tie." JJ said.
"This of course will be very time consuming. There's lots and lots of preparation for a job like this." Hotch said. "But other than that she would be great for the team."
I smiled and tried to act professional but on the inside I was jumping around.
I pretty much got the teams approval.
I turned around to look at Spencer and he didn't have a happy face.
"I don't want to lose you. Or for you to get hurt." He said softly.
"But you will be there to protect me." I said taking his hands in mine. "The whole team will be there."
A small smile crept upon his lips.
"I guess I can make some exceptions." He said.
I jumped into his arms in joy.
"You know I love you right?" I whispered in his ear.
"I know. And you know that I love you?" He whispered back.
I pulled away from our hug and smashed my lips against his.
"I'll take that as a yes." He said.

A year later

I was sitting at the kitchen counter on my laptop, studying about Forensics.
"Spencer can you come here." I yelled.
He came from the living room, where he was reading a book, and to the kitchen.
He wrapped his arms around my stomach and kissed the side of my head.
"What do you need love?" He asked sweetly.
I turned my head so I could face him and gave him a kiss.
"I need help on this one." I said pointing to the question about crisis negotiation.
"Crisis negotiation is a law enforcement technique used to communicate with people who are threatening violence including barricaded subjects, stalkers, criminals attempting to escape after a botched robbery, and most famously, hostage-takers." He said.
"Wait crisis negotiation... then what?" I asked.
"Kelly I'm supposed to help you not give you the answers." Spencer said laughing.
"Ok ok so it's basically a way to talk to people that are in danger." I said attempting to summarize what I remembered.
"Good enough." He said.

A year after that.

"Are you ready for your first day?" Spencer asked taking the key out of the ignition.
"Readier than I will ever be." I said opening the door to the BAU headquarters.
I was greeted by the familiar faces of my new work members.
JJ and Emily were talking, probably about Henry and how much he has grown.
I could see Hotch through his office window, who was going through a stack of papers.
Garcia, Derek and Rossi were talking by the coffee pot.
I smiled and took my seat that was between Emily and Spencer's spots.
Everyone else gathered at the table.
"Well Kelly, are you ready for your first case?" Hotch asked me.
I looked at all of my friends around me.
I felt Spencer hold my hand under the table.
"Whenever you are."

The end.
