Chapter 15

We both hopped in his car and we drove around.
"So where were you thinking for stores to go to?" He asked.
"Um just cheap like Walmart or something." I said.
He looked at me funny.
"What?" I said.
"Walmart for decorations? Ever heard of Target or... I know just where to go." He said.
I haven't heard of Target.
Well I have I just have never been.
"I have always wondered what Target was like. Or the mall." I said.
"You haven't been?" He asked me.
"No I live in a small town. I mean I have seen commercials for stores like that but I haven't ever been in one." I said.
"Your gonna love this." He said smiling.
After about 10 minutes of driving we pulled into a parking lot of a store called 'Hobby Lobby'.
"If you ever need to find room decorations or anything this is the place you need to go." He said turning the car off.
We looked out my window and saw that we parked next to Garcia who also got out of her car.
"We are gonna have so much fun!" She said.
We walked into the store and it was amazing.
There was so many display shelfs will all kinds of different themes.
"This is amazing." I said taking in all the decor.
"I'm glad your excited." Spencer said.
"Are you excited?" I asked him.
"Yeah are you? You never really liked shopping unless it was for books or physics sets." Garcia said.
"Well I have never really been shopping for this kind of stuff." He said.
"Is that the kind way for saying you don't want to shop?" Garcia said.
He smiled and nodded.
"It's ok I made plans for you and Morgan." She said.
He looked at me uneasily.
Asking me 'if it was ok if he left me' with his eyes.
I nodded back to him.
"Ok have her home by 12:00." He said to Garcia as he walked to his car.
"Ok let's go find stuff for your room. What theme are you going for?" She asked me.
"A beachy theme." I said.
"Ok let's go look." She said. "Reid also left me with money for you to spend." She said holding out a bundle of money.
It had to have been a lot because I saw a 50 dollar bill on top.
"Do you want to split up? We can both look for stuff and then at the end we sort through and see what you want?" Garcia suggested.
"Yes! That sounds like a great idea." I said.
We grabbed carts and headed separate ways.
I saw a little jar that was ombré from blue to clear.
"I could put sea shells in this." I said turning it over to see the price.
$12.49 for a little jar!?
"What?!" I said out loud.
"It's ok if things are a little pricy." Garcia said behind me.
I hesitated but put it in the cart.
Spencer's POV
Garcia never told me what or where I was going to meet Morgan.
I took out my small phone and called him.
After it rang he finally picked up.
"Hey pretty boy are you ready to go?" He said.
"Where are we going?"
"Laser tag. It will be fun."
I have never been to play laser tag.
I mean it couldn't be hard.
All you do is point and shoot with a harmless laser.
"Yeah where is it?" I asked.
"Come to my house I will take you."
Kelly's POV
I walked over to the posters and saw Garcia.
Her cart was already half full of things.
I should stop being so shy and actually start putting things in there.
I saw a poster of a silhouette of a palm tree in a sunset on the beach.
I threw it in the cart and saw some candles.
I threw in the ones I liked.
Then I walked to the isle with things bigger like vanities and wall decor.
I found this basket holder that was made out of wood twine.
I took the box and put it in the bottom of the cart.
Spencer's POV
I knocked on Morgan's door and he opened it.
"You ready pretty boy?" He asked.
I nodded and we headed to laser tag.
Kelly's POV
A blue bedspread with white throw pillows will look cute along with this cute palm tree blanket.
Spencer's POV
We parked in the lot and walked into the building.
We got our tickets and waited in line for our groups turn.
Kelly's POV
I found picture frames and shelfs that would be cute on the walls.
I should go look for shells and sand...
Spencer's POV
After waiting for about 10 minutes we got to go in the room.
There was a blacklight being used that made everyone's clothes look fluorescent.
The glowing vest and guns also complimented the colors.
"... you may put your vests on and remember be safe." The intercom said.
"You ready Reid? Just like on the job. When you need to reload go in front of our base." Morgan explained.
I nodded and the door opened.
Kelly's POV
I saw Garcia and we started to go through the stuff.
"Everything you got is so cute!" She said looking through my cart.
"So instead of the picture frames I think what would be totally adorable would be if you took twine and clothes pins and made a little line of pictures." She explained holding the supplies.
"Good idea! And it's cheaper." I said taking out the frames.
"We both grabbed the shelfs and baskets." I said seeing that we both got a lot of the same things.
Spencer's POV
We both filed out of the door with our group.
Most of the group was teenage boys.
There was Morgan and I and two other gentlemen around our age.
Then there was two teenage girls.
Possibly the same age as Kelly.
Morgan and I took cover behind a rock lookalike.
"Alright you go four o'clock and I will go..."
"Reid it's just a game. Don't get shot and shoot other people. Try to get their bases too. It gives you more points." Morgan explained.
I nodded and we parted.
Kelly's POV
At the end we ended up getting a cart full of things.
We got the blue bed spread with two white throw pillows and some baby blue pillow cases ( for the ones I already have ). Along with the bed stuff I got the palm tree blanket.
Then we got the three wood twine baskets that go on these white shelfs.
We also got separate shelfs to put other decor on.
For decor we got the cute ombré jar along with sand and seashells to go in it.
Garcia also found this dolphin sculpture out of wood that would look great on the shelfs.
We got the twine and clothes pins for the DIY project.
We also bought the poster I liked.
Garcia also found a vanity that we can decorate with shells that we both loved.
Along with the vanity she found a small dresser and side table set.
The last thing we got was shadow boxes and lots of crafty supplies for any other small decor we could make together.
Spencer's POV
Our team is crushing.
I have shot so many people and the bases.
The other team had a strategy but I figured it out.
They would have had 4 people go around to our top base while 4 go to our bottom and biggest base while the other two would take the ground and try to eliminate as much as they could.
I huddled with our team and told them the strategy but most of them thought I was BSing and made their own strategy so Morgan and I took basically them all out.
Kelly's POV
We finally got done scanning everything and the total was...
$649.56!!
"Holy crap!" I said.
Garcia paid them like she had pocket cash.
"Wait let me pay for half." I said taking out my wallet.
"No Spencer wanted me to pay for it all with his money." She said.
"One fourth." I said.
"Fine." She said taking the $150 I gave her.
We rolled the cart to her car and unloaded all the stuff in her tiny little car.
Most of it wouldn't fit in the trunk so it had to go in the back seat.
"Do you have a key to Spencer's apartment?" She asked me.
"Yeah he gave me one just in case." I said. 
"Let's surprise him with your room. It can't be that hard to set it up by ourselves." She said.
Morgan's POV
Reid and I exited the room and looked at the scoreboard.
Dang Reid had 67,870 points.
Me in second with 60,340.
The third was 26,100.
They should have listened to pretty boys' genius mind.
"Dang Reid you got first place." I said patting him on the back.
"Yeah it was just all strategy." He said.
As we went to exit the building I had to use the bathroom.
"Hey wait here pretty boy I got to use the bathroom." I said.
He nodded and stood there.
Spencer's POV
I stood at the doorway and waited for Morgan.
Then all of a sudden the two teen girls came up to me.
"Hey handsome." The black haired one said.
They were way too close for my comfort.
I tried to back up as much as I could.
"Thanks I'm flattered." I said awkwardly.
"Your so smart. How did you do that?"  The brunette said.
"Do what? First place? All I had to do was memorize the grid and then hypothesize their strategy, and with my genius mind my hypotheses are normally accurate, and defeat them." I said licking my lips nervously.
They just looked at each other and then, thank god, Morgan came out.
"Come on pretty boy lets leave." He said grabbing my arm.
"Thanks." I whispered.
"See what you get with that mind of yours." He said.
"Really awkward moments?" I said.
"No. You get chicks." He said smiling.
Morgan's POV
So I have to keep pretty boy out a little longer according to Garcia.
"Want to go see a movie?" I said about to regret what I was gonna say.
"There isn't anything out I really want to see except the newer Star Trek."
Exactly what I knew he was gonna say.
"Let's go watch that. I have always wondered what young Reid is occupied with." I said.
I hope Garcia knows what a big favor I'm doing for her.
Kelly's POV
We got to Spencer's apartment and had the office worker help us carry everything up.
I unlocked the door and thanked the guy that helped us.
Garcia and I walked into his dark apartment.
"Gosh I wish he would lighten up a little bit." She said opening the curtains.
"Ok let's get started!" She said.
