Katelyn (think of anyone)
_____________School. Not gonna lie, I'm excited. Finally starting high school is a big deal! It's lunchtime and I was sitting with my best friend Hannah Finyard. It was just the two of us sitting together. She's 2 months older than me.
"Soooo," she starts off. "Your brother goes to this school. Mind showing me who he is, ya know, in case he's kinda hot."
"Trust me, you don't wanna know who he is." Truth is, my brother hates my guts. Since the moment I was born he has never liked me. He always wanted to be an only child. I ruined that.
"Ok ok. But like seriously. Check out all the hot guys! Like the one with the red hair, or the guy with the glasses or-" she cuts her self off as she stares at a guy with her mouth wide open. "Look at that guy over there with the brown curly hair and piercings! Oh my gosh I think I'm in love."
I look at the guy she's pointing to. Great. He's one of Michael's friends. I don't know which one but he's one of them. Mainly because Michael's sitting right next to him.
"Do I look okay? What if he looks over? What if he COMES over?! Oh my gosh-"
"HANNAH! Stop freaking out okay." I say looking at her, "You look fine. Plus he's a senior, why would he come over here and talk to us anyway?."
"You're right. But how do you know he's a senior?" She questions.
"Look at them. Do they look like they're our age?" I say.
"You make a very good point. But now I want to know his name." Hannah looks around and motions for someone to come over. A tall girl with wavy hair walks over.
"Can I help you?" She asks.
"Yeah. I was just wondering what the name of that boy over there is. With the brown curly hair." Hannah says.
"That's Ashton. Ashton Irwin. He's a senior and is not looking for a freshman, trust me." The girl say rudely before while walking off. Well, strutting off.
"Well that was rude." Hannah comments before taking a bite out of her sandwich. "But he does have a super cute name." She adds with her mouth full.
"Well then. Go get em tiger." I joke while she playfully slaps my shoulder and scoffs.
The thing is. If high school is anything like the movies, I might not last a year. Since I was 7 I've had what I call 'Monsters' around. Recently they have been getting harder to control by myself and I don't want to tell anyone about them or get medication. Normally they come out at night but sometimes they appear during the day. Last year in health I learnt that I have schizophrenia. My symptoms matched almost perfectly. I guess I'm scared that if people know, I'll be sent out to a mental asylum, or that no one will believe me. Both are still pretty scary.
"Katelyn."
"Hmm?" I look up at Hannah. I hope I didn't miss much of the conversation.
"Does Hannah Irwin sound cool?"
"Are you serious right now?"
"Completely! Now just answer the question." She complains.
"It's sounds beautiful, Hannah Irwin." I joke.
"Ga, your no help at all." She whines.
"Glad to be of service." I reply sarcastically
