Katelyn____
Luna and I were hanging out during history. The flood waters had decreased rapidly and school was no longer closed. She was grounded for running off and is only allowed out of the house for school. Her dad, who's name is freakin Rhodri Hawthorne - epic right? - picks her up from school everyday to stop her from getting side tracked while walking home. Her mother, Isabel, drops her off every morning.
We were joking and laughing about a funny video that was spiraling around the internet at this moment in time. We had finished class early and Luna had drama next while I had gym. We were just sitting up against a corner when Hannah walked over. She sat down in front of us and we fell silent. We stared at her and she just looked back at us. I raise an eyebrow at her in hopes she explains.
"Can I apoligise or will something happen to me." Hannah says. We stay silent and let her continue. "I don't know what I was thinking. You disappeared for a day and that same day they were on me and suddenly I was part of their group. They started talking bad about you and I didn't want to seem out of place so I went along with them. One week, and I was blinded by them. Agreeing that popularity meant everything. I'm sorry that I didn't talk to you sooner."
Luna looks over at me, knowing this is something I have to deal with. "You hurt me. Let's just go along with being acquaintances. This ain't a movie where you immediately become best friends straight after an I'm sorry. My life is taking some horrible turns. Let me sort those out and think about what you've just said." Hannah nods at my response before getting up and walking away. The bell goes and Luna and I leave class.
We go our separate ways and I head to gym class. Today we are playing my favourite sport, netball. My seconds favourite sport is archery. When I brought up that conversation with Liz her only words were: "Do you seriously think that is a good idea?" That made me really reconsider that decision. She let me pick up netball though. Trials are in two weeks.
I was placed at goal shoot during netball at scored a total of 25 goals. To be fair, half the class doesn't know how to play and I am one of the only people that understand the game. Mum would let me play when I was in primary school. I was a pretty good player. I knew the game and that was the main thing.
When lunch finally rolled around, I was sweaty and the last thing I wanted was to be stuck inside. When I caught up with Luna we both decided to not sit inside and lay down on the field. It was a beautiful sunny day and there was only fluffy white clouds in the sky. It was the last place I expected to have an attack.
"Uhh, Luna. I think I'm having an attack." I panic.
"Seriously! Uhhh, Where are the monsters?" She's freaking out as well.
"It's not working! They're getting stronger!" I yell. She screams and grabs my arms when I start scratch. I try to pull them off and she doesn't budge. We roll around screaming on the ground and eventually the tables turn and my brain decides to try and hurt Luna.
'She's trying to stop US!" Its seethes, 'we must stop her!" I lunge at Luna. My body not in my control. She freaks out and pulls something out of her pocket. Just as I reach her throat, something stabs my side. I pull back and scream. My mind is back under my control. I look down and see a switchblade sticking out of my side.
"Oh my gosh Katelyn! I'm so sorry!" Luna starts yelling and goes to pull it out.
"No! Leave it in, it'll stop the bleeding more. Go find Michael." She nods before running off. Blood starts dripping down my shirt and I think of how to stop it. An idea strikes my mind and I painfully grab Luna's bag. Rummaging through quickly, I pull out a 'that time of the month' pad and open it. I gently place it around the knife because, hey, pads are super absorbent and I'm currently bleeding. I hold it in place and wait for Luna to come back.
Luna____
Oh my gosh oh my gosh oh my gosh. I just stabbed my best friend because she lunged at me. Her brother is going to kill me because I nearly killed her. I can't believe I did that though. She was having a mental problem and my response is to stab her! I should not be a therapist.
I sprint through the halls, pushing people out of the way who were in my way. I run into the cafeteria and scan the room. Crap. The guys aren't at their normal table. I spin on my heel and run to the library. Run faster Luna! Your best friend is currently dying. I run into the library and dash around it, no luck here. I don't know what I was thinking, perhaps Luke likes reading? I stop and think. What room is detention currently in? I just need to find one of the guys. Or Liz? No, Katelyn said they had a class trip of some sort to learn more about Pythagoras Theorem so they were spending the day in town. Looking at triangles or something.
As I'm running through the halls looking at every class room my eye catches on grey hair. That's not normal. Luke just recently dyed his hair grey. Turning around to look back into the room and see the one and only Lucas Hemmings standing in a classroom with Calum Hood. Shirtless might I add. Hallelujah for Katelyn getting stabbed. I bang on the window and they turn in shock. Calum raises an eyebrow at me, well more like my massive hand signals explaining that someone got stabbed. The both walk to the door and put their heads around the corner.
"You alright there Luna?" Calum asks.
"Enjoying the view, are we?" Luke adds. Well....
"You guys have a car?"
"Yeah, I do for a matter of fact. What do you need it for? Wanna impressive some freshman boys?" Calum suggests while wiggling his eyebrows.
"I may need to use it to get to the hospital." Luna, now is not the time to be stalling!
"Why do you need to go to the hospital?" Luke says while he and Calum are pulling on their shirts.
"I may or may not have stabbed Katelyn." They both freeze and stare at me. "She's currently sitting on the field with my switchblade in her side."
"WHY DIDN'T YOU SAY THAT FIRST!" Calum screams. "DON'T JUST STAND THERE, LEAD THE WAY!" We take of running with the two boys in tow. We rush onto the field and Katelyn's just sitting there blinking every so often.
"Oh my g.o.s.h."
"Now is not the time for 'Lego Movie' references Hemmings." Calum groans. "So, what exactly happened." Once we reach her I notice she took a pad and placed it around the wound. This girl's got brains.
"I started having an attack, and for some reason I turned against Luna and attacked her. She retaliated and stabbed me." Luke and Calum look over at me.
"Force of habit."
"Can you move?" Luke asks.
"It hurt to grab Luna's bag," is Katelyn's response.
"I'll bring the car to the front gate," with that, Calum rushes off. Luke bends down and picks her up incredibly gently. She hisses in pain. Man I wish that was me, Katelyn can stab me next if it means being carried by Luke. I grab our bags and swiftly get in front of the two in order to be able to push anyone out of the way. We get to the front of the school with no sign of Michael or Ashton. Luke places Katelyn in the back of the car while some teachers run out screaming at us. Luke grabs Katelyn's bag of me and throws it into the front seat.
"FLOOR IT!" He screams at Calum while he shuts the passenger door. Calum drives off and we're left to deal with six angry teachers.
