"Say something." I demand. Katelyn just stares at her hands.

"If I had taken the pills, could I have prevented it?"

"No. The pills must have worsen it. You didn't originally have it, or else the doctors would have found out when we were here when you smashed the glass."

"You mean when I was first diagnosed?" I nod. The door opens and the doctor walks back in. The others soon file through. I glance at Katelyn and she looks like she is about to cry.

"I trust your minute alone went well? Anyway, as I was saying before Katelyn seems to be suffering from the rarest form of schizophrenia. It's common name is suicidal schizophrenia. Her mind turns the body against itself in an attempt to kill it. It's been described as killing the pain that the body is going through. This increases Katelyn's chances of attempting suicide and also having a successful suicide attempt.She will need to stay in hospital for the time being so that we can make sure she is safe and at as minimal risk as possible of hurting or injuring herself or someone else." After that the doctor walks out of the room saying he will be back after a little bit. The room is silent. (AN: Please note I'm making this up and do not know if this is an actual legit diagnosis.)

"Anything that could have prevented-."

"No." I quickly stop Ash's question knowing that its the one Katelyn just asked not that long ago.

"It's alright. We'll get through this." Liz declares, "actually Mike - Andy, Luke and I would like some alone time with Katelyn. If that's alright with you of course."

"Yeah, no problem."

"Kicked into the halls again." Calum mumbles.

Katelyn_______

I'm so scared what's going to happen now. After what Michael said I'm terrified that each day is going to be my last.

"Listen, sweetie. We had a family meeting because we wanted to discuss you." Liz starts

This is it. This is where I get kicked out of their family.

"We want to officially adopt you!"Andy exclaims.

"What?" I'm confused. They just heard I'm an insane freak and they still want me around?

"We are just your caregivers at the moment. We want to be your replacement parents. So that you always have someone to support you. And a home to return to whenever. Plus I always wanted a daughter." Liz excitingly explains.

"You okay with this?" I say to Luke.

'Yeah, should be fun. Nothing will really change."

I smile and nod.

"You want to be our daughter?" I nod again. "Oh honey, this is fantastic!"

"Calm down sweetie. Once we get Michael's approval we can go ahead and pick up the papers." Andy leads an excited Liz out of the room and I'm left with Luke.

"Cool. I get a sister. Now you're gonna have four brothers." He smirks.

"Yay. More presents!" I cheer. Luke just chuckles at my reaction. We stop laughing when we hear yelling outside.

"I'll go see what's going on." Luke leaves the room leaving me very confused.

Calum______ (ahahaha, you probably thought it was going to be Luke.)

After Ash and I left the room for a second time with Michael, we sat in the waiting room waiting to go back in and see her. I sit on the crappy plastic seat. Mike quickly gets up and makes a phone call. While he's gone, the she devil enters the room. "Didn't think they would let you anywhere near people again."

"Shut up Calum, now where is my daughter?"

"She ain't yours anymore, Karen. You lost her." Ash pipes up.

"I have a right to know."

"How did you even know she was here?" I questions.

"My boyfriend told me. He's a doctor that works closely with her one. Said my daughter has had her schizophrenia worsen and I decided to come visit her in hospital."

"Isn't that illegal? Giving away private information?"

"Not when you gave birth to it." She sass back. Man, old people shouldn't sass. Its just not right.

"What the hell are you doing here." Michael speaks up from the door way.

"Visiting my daughter."

"She ain't your daughter."

Karen rolls her eyes at her son. Before attempting to enter the hall that Katelyn's room is down, Michael blocks the door. Disallowing her entry. "Move Michael."

"No," he stares. I glance at Ash and he just looks entertained by the two.

"Michael? Is everything alright? I came as soon as I could." I random old man enters the room as Liz and Andy walk back out, but without a Luke.

"You," Karen seethes. "You stay away from my daughter."

"I've heard that she actually wants to met me. And my own son wanted me here to met her and find ways of helping her." That must be Michael and Katelyn's dad Darryl.

"YOU STAY AWAY FROM HER!" Karen yells before nearly charging at him. Luke enters the room and looks really confused by what is going on.

"If I were you, I wouldn't question it." I say. He nods and stands over by his parents. Michael ushers his dad into Katelyn's room before keeping his mum out.

"Let them at least met." He says.

"Fine." She admits defeat and sits down in one of the chairs.

Katelyn_____

A man I don't know was pushed into my room and I look at him oddly. "You must be Katelyn." I just nod, unsure of who he is. "I'm Darryl, Darryl Clifford. I'm your father. Michael called me earlier and I was in town for a work conference. I can as quickly as I could. He mentioned you wanting to met me. I understand now why you never came on our weekends outings."

"Mum said you didn't care about us."

"I do, trust me. I care a lot. But I do also have my own family to take care of. But it is nice to finally met you. Even if it is during unwanted circumstances." I smile at him.

"Are you a lawyer?"

"Why yes I am. That's why Michael and I have such a close relationship. I'm constantly getting him out of jail." He jokes.

Michael soon enters the room and just smiles before standing next to my bed.

"Its so nice to finally see you both in the same room. I never thought I would ever see this day." Darryl beams.

"In all honesty I don't think any of us did." I add.

Michael just laughs and shakes his head.
