As the sun dipped below the horizon, you and your classmates arrived back at U.A, quickly finding yourselves within the common room of your dorm, where you all spent the next hour or so chatting and unwinding after a long day before eventually retiring to your respective rooms for a well-deserved rest.

However, as your classmates slept, you, despite feeling exhausted, found yourself unable to drift off into slumber. So you decide to sit out on the balcony connected to your room, gazing up at the star-filled sky and letting the cool night air soothe your restless mind. However, the peacefulness of the night would be short-lived as you soon noticed two people leaving the dorm.

"The hell?" You muttered to yourself as you leaned forward, trying to get a better look at the two figures, quickly seeing that it was Midoriya and Bakugo. "Where could those two possibly be going at this hour? None of my business, I suppose," you said, shaking your head before turning to head back inside your dorm room, only to stop and glance back, seeing the two of them heading in the direction of the training grounds.

'Dammit...' You thought as you quickly stepped into your room, throwing on a shirt before swiftly making your way outside to follow them. "Just what the hell do these two think they're doing? If Aizawa finds out we're out past curfew, we're all screwed," you muttered to yourself as you hurried to catch up with Bakugo and Midoriya, only to stop when you heard the familiar sounds of explosions coming from the training grounds. "You've got to be kidding me." You said as you picked up the pace, quickly making it to the training grounds.

As you drew closer to the source of the explosions, you quietly peeked around the corner of a building to see Bakugo and Midoriya engaged in an intense standoff, and from the bruises and scratches on their bodies, it was clear that things had escalated quickly. You debated whether to intervene or stay hidden and watch the drama unfold; however, before you could make a decision, Bakugo spoke up.

"Why did a damn small fry like you get strong and become the number-one hero's sidekick?! His favorite?! You got so much better, and I destroyed All Might!" Bakugo shouted. "I admired him so much. But it's because of me that he ended up losing his powers! If I had been stronger... If I hadn't been kidnapped by villains... Then it never would have happened!" Bakugo continued, his voice filled with guilt and frustration. "All Might knows it was my fault but hasn't said anything. Everyone has to know, though! I can't get it out of my head! It's like it's constantly playing on loop. So what the hell am I supposed to do?!"

'Dammit, Bakugo... You've really been carrying this burden all by yourself.' You thought, feeling empathy towards Bakugo's internal struggle as your mind drifted to the weight of your own guilt over everything that had happened.

Looking back at the two, you see them resume their fight, but you decide not to intervene, realizing that this was something only the two of them could work through, so you stood back and watched the fight.

Eventually it began to escalate, and you debated whether or not to step in, but before you could make a decision, a hand placed itself on your shoulder, causing you to turn around and see All Might standing there with a reassuring look in his eyes. "It's alright, young [Y/N]. I'll take care of this. But please stay; I believe you deserve to know the truth as well." He said before walking towards Bakugo and Midoriya. You watched as All Might talked with the two of them about everything that had happened before finally explaining something that shocked you: how he had chosen Midoriya as his successor, passing on his quirk to him.

"Okay, so talk. Who knows about you two?" Bakugo asked.

Recovery Girl and Principal Nezu do." All Might replied. "As far as students go, only you and..." He paused, looking in your direction as you stepped out from your hiding spot.
