[33]His Start

As your class's performance comes to a close, you're soon met with the roar of applause and cheers from the audience filling the gymnasium. You and your classmates could barely contain your happiness, as all the time and effort put into practicing and perfecting your performance had paid off.

Following this, the students began to clear out of the gymnasium, chatting excitedly about how well the performance went, while you and your classmates, except Midoriya, who was called out to talk with a few of the teachers, set about cleaning up scattered confetti streamers and chunks of ice. Soon enough Midoriya was let go and jogged back into the gymnasium.

"There you are." You said, looking over at him. "Everything good?"

"Oh, yeah... Just got scolded a little, that's all." Midoriya replied. However, before you could ask any further questions, a familiar voice spoke up, gaining the both of your attentions.

"Hey! Good work, guys!" Mirio called out as he, along with Eri, walked over towards the both of you.

"That was crazy!" Eri exclaimed, her eyes shining with excitement. "At first when there was a loud noise, it was scary, but then everyone was jumping with the dance. And Oni, you were playing the guitar, and it was so cool!" She continued hopping as she spoke. "Oh, and then there was a flash, and Deku, you went away for a little bit, and then a guy started flying in the air! That's when it started to get cold, and I saw birds, and there was a spinning light, and a bunch of people said, "Wow!" And you know what I said? "Wow!" too. It was so fun!"

Seeing and hearing Eri's genuine happiness, Midoriya couldn't help but tear up, and you weren't far behind him.

"We're glad you had such a good time, Eri." You said as you and Midoriya wiped away any tears before giving Eri a big smile, which she returned with a bright grin of her own.

"You two should be working! Especially you, Midoriya, slacking off now after being late? Take this ice!" Mineta shouted from behind the both of you.

"Whoa! Oh, sorry! I've got it!" Midoriya exclaimed quickly, grabbed a bucket of ice from Mineta, and set about helping clean up.

"We'll see you guys after we get done here." You said, giving Mirio and Eri a little wave before rejoining your classmates in cleaning up the mess.

As you did, you hauled a bucket of ice chunks out of the gym and over to Bakugo, who was using his quirk to quickly melt down the ice just as a few general study students called out as they passed by.

"Hey, Class A!"

"We had a killer time at your show!"

"Yeah? Sweet! Thanks a lot!" Kirishima shouted back with a big grin.

"Hmph. I gotta say... You did well." A general studies student with a large hairstyle named Agoyamato commented as he, along with a female general studies student named Togeike, emerged from the crowd. Bakugo, seeing them, sent a glare their way.

"We're sorry!" Togeike shouted.

"We just came to see you guys screw up! Please forgive us!" Agoyamato admitted as he, along with Togeike, ran off.

"What the hell was that about..." You thought out loud.

"They didn't have to apologize." Kaminari added.

"We won." Bakugo said with a smug expression.

"I wonder if they're some of the people Mr. Aizawa said were feeling bummed out. If they were, our mission was accomplished." Kirishima said.

"Indeed. But surely there are those who were unable to attend!" Iida exclaimed. "The festival is still young! We will not rest until every student-"

"Dude, take a breather. We heard about what you all were trying to do when you started planning this." A general studies student interrupted.
