Phil had wanted to surprise you for a while, but wasn't sure what to do. He had thought about it for a few months before finally coming up with something. During the last few weeks of winter he had gotten some flower bulbs. He had waited for the right day to plant them, hoping you would be out, but you had changed your mind once you heard he was staying home. There was no getting you out of the house. He had tried several things, telling you the milk was out, that your friends had called asking you out to lunch. Each time you came up with a logical reason those things could wait. Mostly the reason was that it wasn't often he was home all day, and he had to agree. He couldn't very well ask you to leave when you barely got to see him.
-Spring Time-
A few months after his day off you started to noticed flowers popping up all over the yard. You were so excited because you hadn't planted any but you loved flowers so much. When Phil got home and you told him what you discovered he grinned from ear to ear. He then told you the story of how no matter what he tried you had stayed home and he had planted the flower bulbs after you had gone to sleep that night. It was his surprise for you, so that when he was away you could look out in the backyard and see the flowers he had planted for you.
