July 5th

~Levy~
I so close to cracking the code, I can feel it in my tiny bones.

I'm so tired... I haven't slept much. I turned my drowsy eyes to the clock on the wall to see that it was 3:22 in the morning. I yawned and flopped on the counter.

That was when I heard the front door open.

"Who's there?" I asked.

"Relex, shrimp. It's just me." Gajeel pulled his hands up and I breathed a sigh of relief.

"Gomen, Gajeel... I guess I'm just a bit jumpy after what's been happening to the others." I yawned again.

"Why are you still up anyway?" he asks, sitting next to me on the counter.

"Why'd you come home late?"

"Asshole gave me the night shift for being late this morning. Sorry I couldn't call ya, shrimp."

"It's fine. I was just doing some more research about this book." I stacked my translations into a stack and a paper slipped.

"Oh-" I tried to reach for it but, Gajeel got it instead.

"Here, shrimp." he handed me the paper and I gave him a kiss.

"Arigato." I smiled and Gajeel began to blush like the tsundere he is.

"You're such a tsundere." I teased.

"I am not!" Gajeel smacked the table with all the force of his hand and my coffee spilled onto the book.

"AHHHHH!!! GAJEEL!" I started to shout as I ran to get paper towels.

"Wait, shrimp! Look at your weird book!" Gajeel pointed to the book of E.N.D.

The coffee had stained the old leather cover and revealed something quite interesting.

The cover was peeling off. Is that... A hidden page?

I grabbed the pealed corner and saw that it was in a different language. Something very ancient...

"If I can trace this back to Latin, I should be able to crack the code!" I grabbed my glasses and ran upstairs.

"Hey, shrimp! Slow down!" I heard Gajeel yell as I tried to work as fast as I could.

"This is the number 10 and this symbol means pure light, which back in the day meant the souls of light. And this represents spirit and this is blood.... This... This is a spell to conjure the demons inside this book! But, the ingredients... 10 souls of the light, blood of a spirit and eye of the warrior.... Jellal and Juvia and the others falling into their comas was no coincidence! I have to tell Lu-chan!" I began to run back downstairs and quickly out the door.

They want to conjure back the most powerful demon inside this book and they're using whoever was involved in the Sabertooth case two years ago to do it! Jellal, Rogue, Juvia, Meredy, Yukino, Mira-san too... If they need 10 souls of the light, they've only got 4 more to go! Run faster, Levy! You have to tell Lu-chan!

"We seemed to underestimate you, Levy McGarden." I was halfway there when I heard that.

McGarden... That's not my name...

"Or should I say, Levy Redfox?" a chilling voice seemed to be right behind me.

"Shrimp!" I heard Gajeel from a bit away.

"Gaj-" I was suddenly cut off.

"Not that I really care but, we don't need any bookworms like you telling others our plan." the sharp pain in my back went away but, I felt numb all over.

"LEVY!"

"Gajeel... You have to tell Lu-"

The darkness consumed me.
