Chapter 3

"This is your captain speaking, we are about to land in Manila, Philippines. I repeat we are about to land."

Rachel was playing with her finger as the nervous feeling piled inside her. She felt the plane thrusting downwards causing her to wince, she hated that feeling. Louise and Paul was awakened by the change of altitude and the weird feeling of a plane landing.

"Welcome to Manila, Philippines. Mabuhay!" The captain said, proclaiming their arrival.

The three of them got off the plane and immediately saw Lea, Aga, and Rachel's Parents.

"Rach!" Lea called out.

Louise was the first one to notice, "There here na, Ma!"

She ran to Lea and gave her an embrace, "Ninang Lei!"

"Hi Ma," Rachel greeted her Mom.

"Hi 'Nak, how was your flight, tiring?"

"Well, not much but kinda," Rachel.

"Let's start heading home?"

"Yeah, let's go. Louise, Paul halina kayo dito so we can go home na 'nak," Rachel called out to her children.

They reached home and they fixed their luggage's contents instantly. Rachel was finishing up when her mother entered her room.

"Rach, anak, tomorrow's the launching event."

"Yes, Ma. I know. Kaya nga po ak--"

"Richard's invited." Rachel was stunned, just stunned and stood frozen on the ground. She was already feeling nervous but she didn't want to show her mom so she just acted like she didn't care.

"Ano naman ngayon, Ma? It's not like something's gonna happen," Rachel resisted making eye contact with her mom.

"Are you sure you're okay going? With the kids also so he can see them?"

She sighed, "I mean yeah, they're his kids also."

"Okay. Sure ka ha? Sige iwan na kita so you can rest."

Rachel nodded, "Thanks, Ma."

When her mom opened the door she was surprised to see her granddaughter and grandson there, "Lola, were you talking? Or are you done?" Louise.

"We're done, go ahead to your mom."

"Thank you po." Louise said. Only she entered the room and left Paul by the door. She was nervous upon asking but she really wanted to go. Especially she really wanted to see her dad, in person, after 2 long years.

"Um, Ma?"

"Yes 'Nak?"

"Ma..Uh..C-Can we go to the launching with you?"

"Yes, of course. Bakit naman hindi?" Rachel.

"Well, is it okay for you. To like you know?"

"Oo naman. Tandaan mo, he's still you're dad. I'm not going to take that right and you two away from him. Never," Rachel.

"Thanks Mama," Louise.

Rachel smiled, "Of course sweetheart."

"Well I guess it's my turn naman to ask my follow up question.." Paul entered the room with a naughty smile on his face.

"At ano naman yun, Mr. Likot?" Rachel.

"Ma..'di na po ako bata. C'mon.." Paul wined.

"But I'm your mom so you can't you nothing about it. Haha. But what was your question, my dear?" Rachel chuckled.

"Well, since ate asked if we can go and you said yes. May I have the honor of being your escort for tomorrow, gorgeous?" Paul.

"Awh, of course you can!"

"Yes! Well, magpahinga ka na, Ma. Tara na ate?" Paul.

"Yeah, let's go. Good night, Ma" Louise.

"Good night, Ma." Paul said and Rachel pulled them in for hugs.
