It was the day of Valentine's day and she has been subtly looking forward to spending it with him since last week. Given that it will be their first together after five years. She just woke up and found no one by her, except for three of her pink roses. This automatically put a smile of her face. What a nice way to start the day, she said. She took the card and it read: To: Rach Today is our first in five years, love. Thank you for sticking with this mokong once again. I intend to make this day special so please, don't be basag trip hehe. I love you, my love. Breakfast downstairs. Baba ka na, ganda :)

There was a spark of kilig, of course. She got herself ready before heading downstairs. She went down then saw the dining table set. Plates filled with bacon, eggs, then coffee mugs on the side. Then she saw him emerge from the kitchen with a bowl of sliced fruits.
He smiles at her, "Good morning."
"Good morning, Babe."
"Take a seat. Let's eat na." Instead of taking a seat next to him, she went to him as pulled him up into a hug.
"Thank you for the flowers." She whispers.
He pulled away and kissed her. "Of course. Let's eat?"
They eat their breakfast and started to get ready for work. Yes, unfortunately they have work on Valentine's Day.
Richard was fixing the buttons on his sleeves when Rachel sees him struggling. The button kept slipping out of his hand whenever it was near the hole.
She goes to him. "Here, ako na."
As she buttons his sleeves, he stares at her. He could see the glow of her face. Richard truly appreciated this aura of hers.
As she finishes, he thanks her. "I'll pick you up later, ha?"
"Yup! Sayang, may work tayo today." She frowns a bit.
He lifts her chin up, "Hey.. I know it sucks but you have to trust me on this, Love. Promise, you'll love today kahit simple lang. Just watch." He smiles at her.
She just chuckles and grabs her bag for them to head out. "Let's go na?"
He nods and hold her hand as he leads her down and out the house. "Tsaka special naman, e... kasi kasama kita." --------------------------------------------------------------
