Richard knocked on the door, "Rachel? Rachel?" He slowly opened the door and walked in, finding her sleeping soundly. He went near her bed. Richard caressed her cheek, the soft feeling his fingertips are experiencing. He couldn't contain himself, he gave her a kiss on the cheek and this woke Rachel up, "Oh, Richard. Your here, I thought you have work?"
"I just picked up paperwork. Diot ko na lang gagawin, I won't be able to work efficiently kung nagaalala ako," Richard said.
"Saan?"
"Sayo."
"Saakin?" Rachel asked.
"Oo, sayo. 'Di ka pa magaling eh. Nga pala, I brought something home for you," Richard.
"Ano naman 'yun?"
Richard reached for the box of brownies on the side table, "From your favorite bakeshop pa 'yan ha."
"Thank you, Richard," Rachel.
"Sus, ikaw pa," Richard said with a smirk, "What do you want for dinner?"
Rachel missed this. A carefree and happy life. She had anxieties about having Richard around and other things to that extent but suddenly, she remembered what happened in New York. What took her to get past the pain that 'incident' caused her. How long it took her.
Richard brought her back to reality, "Rachel?"
"Oh, I'm sorry. Pero... hmm... well maybe some tenderloin sounds good," Rachel.
Richard smiled, "Noted."

"Ate's on FaceTime on the iPad sa may veranda. Usap daw tayong tatlo habang nakatulog si Mama," Paul.
"Sige, Anak. Susunod na 'ko."

R: Ano 'yun?

R: (whispers) Birthday ng Mama nyo
L&P: Correct!
R: Anong gagawin natin?
L: I was thinking about a surprise. Like a heartfelt and meaningful one but not that grand. You know Mama naman, she likes it when it's simple lang.
