Chapter 28: Happiness

     It was a bright shiny afternoon. Everyone was awake and the air was filled with joy.

     "Ano ba, Papa? 'Wag kami ang kulitin mo, si Mama na lang." Louise said while trying to stop her father from tickling her.

     "Nako, 'wag niyo kong isama sa mga kalokohan niyong mag-aama, ah?" Rachel joked.

     "Rachel.." Richard looked at her and moved his eyebrows playfully. He gazed at Paul.

     "On your cue, Papa, " Paul winked.

     "Oh my gosh, Mama, let's go! " Louise exclaimed as she took her mom's wrist and led her to the garden. Richard and Paul ran behind them.

     Rachel and Louise was on the opposite side of the pool; Richard and Paul was on the other. "Cornered!"

     "Ano, Ma, game?" Louise asked.

     "Game saan?"

     "We have no choice! Hold your breath!" Louise pulled her in with her before jumping in the pool together.

     Louise and Rachel were just laughing in water. "Papa, 'kala nila 'di natin kayang magswimming. We have to go."

     "After you." Paul jumped and Richard did too. His two ladies didn't notice them Richard was able to swim to Rachel and grab her waist.

     She shrieked, "Richard!"

     "Gotcha!" He laughed.

     Meanwhile, "Paul, wipe your hands and get my instax. Hurry!" Louise whispered.

     "Ang kulit mo talaga!" Rachel said.

     "'To naman, minsan nga lang eh, " Richard kissed her neck.

     "Gomez, may mga bata oh!"

     "Mga bata? Bata pa ba 'yan? Eh may license na nga 'yang naka white na 'yan oh!"

     "Ay nako, Papa!" Louise exclaimed and the three of them laughed. The two lovebirds were looking at each other with smiles on their face when a weak flash went off.

     "Got you guys!" Paul said.

     "Nice one, brother dear!" Louise told Paul.

     "Kayo talaga, kahit kailan, ang kukulit!" Rachel said.

     Manang comes out of the house, "Rachel, Richard, pwede ba akong umalis saglit? Mamamalengke lang."

     "Sige lang po. Salamat!" Richard said.

     "Ay, wait lang po!" Paul stopped her, "Pwede niyo ho ba kaming picturan?"

     "Oo naman."

     "Sige ho. Eto po. Pindutin niyo lang ho eto para magtake, " Paul handed her the Instax camera.

     He jumped in the pool and the four of them wore genuine smiles as Manang clicked the shutter of Louise's camera. Happiness fully occupied their hearts.

Flashback...

     "Papa? Miming(Swimming) kami?" Louise asked while holding his little brother's hand.

     Richard looked out the window. Sunny day. He bent down to them, "Do you really want to go?"

   The two kids nodded together. "Okay. But first let's ask Mama, ha?" He smiled at his two sweethearts.
