Rachel was dropped off at the house by Jane. She was relieved when she didn't see Richard's car yet. She wasn't furiously mad at Richard; she was just.. disappointed. On her birthday, he agreed on what she said: "No secrets. Sana wala ka nang itago saakin. I want to know. Ayokong maulit 'yung sunod-sunod na away natin nung mga months before the incident."

She sighed before entering the house. Rachel saw all the lights off except for the light coming from the TV. There were blankets and pillows on the floor by the couch. She was going shut the TV off, she saw Louise and Paul sleeping on the floor. She squatted down by each of them to give them a kiss on the forehead.

Rachel headed upstairs. She changed into her pantulog and headed straight to the bed. Before she dozed off, she couldn't help thinking about Richard. Though he was in her thoughts, she didn't wait for him before dozing off to sleep.

Shortly after Rachel fell asleep, Richard arrived home. He went straight to Rachel's room before heading to the guest room to change and wind down. He found her sleeping soundly on her bed, gripping the blanket close to her chest.

He approached her and caressed her forehead. He whispered, "I'm sorry, Rachel. Sorry dahil hindi ko sinabi sayo 'yung tungkol sa kanya. Baka kasi magalit ka lang saakin. Sweet dreams, my love."

When the door shut, Rachel's eyes flew open. She looked bup at the ceiling for a moment. She sighed, and went back to sleep.

The next morning, Richard was getting breakfast ready before heading off to work when he heard gentle steps from the living room approaching. It was Rachel; in her shirt, pajamas, and fuzzy house slippers.

"Good morning! Coffee?" Richard asked enthusiastically. But Rachel just smirked and nodded.

After making her coffee, he set it down at the counter before following up a plate of eggs, two strips of bacon, and chocolate chip waffles (her favorite). "Thank you."

He smiled. He tried to start a conversation about yesterday, "Uhm.. Rachel, 'yu--"

"You should hit the road, malalate ka na. Traffic pa naman, " Rachel said, cutting Richard off.

He wanted to sigh, but didn't. He pretends to be unaware of the time and looks at his watch, "Ay, oo nga! Sige, Rach, I'll get going. "

"Okay, ingat. Drive safely."

Well, at least may 'ingat', Richard told himself. He walked out the main door and into his car. Before finally heading out the garage, he hoped that she would follow his path and at least say goodbye but.. nothing.
