Since the day that Louise left for New York, Richard has been at their house more often. Rachel, still uneasy at times, learned to cope with his presence. Even though it brought back pain, she felt very light and weirdly ecstatic when old family memories would flash back onto her.

     "Good morning!" Richard.

"Good morning, Pa. Mukhang ang aga nyo po ngayon ah?" Paul

"Mamaya pa kasi ang pasok ko. I decided to drop by before heading to the company. And besides, your lolo and lola's there naman," his eyes searched for someone, "Where's your Mama?"

"She's still getting dressed. You know her."

Richard chuckles, "Yeah, sure do," someone making their way down the stares caught his gaze.

"Good morning, An-- Oh Richard, nandito ka pala," Rachel.

"Just dropped by before work, everything's well?"

"Yeah, pretty much. Same old, same old," Rachel, "Anak, did you eat breakfast yet?"

"I was waiting for you but since nandito na din si Papa, sabay na tayong tatlo," Paul said.

"Ahh.. eh.. kung okay lang sa Papa mo, edi okay," Rachel.

"Pa?," Paul looked at Richard, "Sure!" Richard.

"Oh, then let's go eat na. Baka malate pa tayo," Rachel headed to the kitchen first.

Paul looked at Richard and Richard looked at Paul. They both smiled and Paul winked at him, as if a plan was working out. Hmm...

In the evening, Rachel was on the way home from work. She planned to drive herself to work and back that day without a driver.

Her phone rang right when she sat on the driver's seat. Viber: Incoming Call - Louise (Ate) ---

Hello? Anak?

Ma!

Oh, Anak, how's your day? Napagod ka ba?

Umm, okay lang naman po ako. How's everything? You and Paul?

We're fine naman. Your Papa said to call him din daw.

Wow, you talked? I'm surprised.

'Wag ngayon, Anak.

Wushu, ayaw mo lang pagusapan eh. Uyy si Mama, in love! Haha

Louise Anne, 'wag mo 'kong paandaran. Pagod si Mama.

Fine, haha. On the way home?

Yes, Anak.

Oh gosh, Ma, I'm so sorry. You should get going. And --- Oh my gosh it's almost 11! Ma, you need to rest.

Yeah, been entertaining so many clients this past week.

Well, I'll let you go na. I'll rest na din and you too. But don't forget to eat!

Yes, Ms. Gomez.
